Title: Fake rotary watch? Post by: aaron1867 on October 24, 2012, 06:22:00 PM Ha, bought a watch of ebay (lol) and someone told me it is fake and I think so too.
Anyone had experience with these watches? The stamp on the back of isn't even level. fwiw, I have no idea on price of these watches and Google varies, paid £75, from £200 apparently, so obviously worried it's a fake! Obviously too late now, as I threw box away lol Title: Re: Fake rotary watch? Post by: kinboshi on October 24, 2012, 06:28:53 PM If it looks like a fake, is priced like a fake, then it's probably a fake.
I'm sure it's a real watch though. Title: Re: Fake rotary watch? Post by: tikay on October 24, 2012, 06:42:58 PM Show it to Simon Trumper when you next see him, he'll know. He'll value it pretty accurately, too. Title: Re: Fake rotary watch? Post by: strak33 on October 24, 2012, 06:44:08 PM I wouldnt worry if it is or isnt.
But for the purpose of this thread it is most likely fake. If you want to spend £75 on a watch spend a touch more and get something else. Title: Re: Fake rotary watch? Post by: smashedagain on October 24, 2012, 06:55:54 PM Always keep the box and papers for any expensive watch that you buy.
If you want a decent watch for a decent price then consider a second hand one from someone like Herbert Browns ( no relation ) :) Title: Re: Fake rotary watch? Post by: sovietsong on October 24, 2012, 08:18:30 PM If you want to spend £75 on a watch buy 7 of these & a big mac meal imo.

I guess that's a good price range to fake as they can be made for nothing and convincingly sold at a 50% mark down or w/e on rrp |
