Title: APT Cambodia Post by: geordieneil on October 26, 2012, 08:35:31 PM Who?
Hi my name is Neil Allen, 6 months ago I moved to Singapore so live poker has been scarce in 2012, however before I left I only played 3 live mtt's in 2012 and won all 3 (albiet 2 were chops, 3 way and 4 way) 2 bowl events in a local circus casino and the 20k gte 100 buy in at DTD. http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/result-info.php?id=2779 Although my hertbertmob may not be spectacular, I have only played around 20 events that would qualify for a herbieflag. I have 7 flags so itm a decent amount (small sample size obv) there is also a bio for my DTD incredible 100 win as herbiemob don't include DTD regular events excluding the monthly deepstacks :( http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=67627 What? I am looking to play the Asian Poker Tour Cambodia from the 14th Nov-20th Nov, I plan to play the full schedule except the $2500 "high roller" event and the daf poker event (clashes with main event) I am selling a max of 40% at a mark up of 1.2 (mainly to cover exchange rates) Any cashes i will have wired to my UK bank account, and any returns will be paid in relation to the rate I recieve. I expect the field to be pretty soft, Vietnamese and Cambodian buisness men with a few travelling pro's. Can only estimate the main event field will be around 120-200 runners going by other APT events. I will update as regular as possible on this thread. The planned schedule Event 1. Welcome to APT (Event 1) US$ 50 US$ 10 Event 2. Head Hunter (Event 2) US$ 200 US$ 20 Event 3. not playing Event 4. not playing Main event. APT Asian Series Cambodia Main Event Day 1A US$ 1,000 US$ 100 Event 5. Freezeout 2 (Event 5) US$ 300 US$ 30 Event 6. Deep Stack Turbo 1 (Event 6) US$ 100 US$ 10 Event 7. Freezeout 3 (Event 7) US$ 400 US$ 40 Event 8. Deep Stack Turbo 2 (Event 8) US$ 100 US$ 10 Event 9. 6 Handed (Event 9) US$ 200 US$ 20 http://www.theasianpokertour.com/news/apt-asian-series-cambodia-2012-event-schedule.html It will be near impossible to play all events as some are the same day (afternoon/ evening) so a return is pretty much guaranteed :) any any non played events will be returned in full, inclusive of any mark up. If i make day 2 of the ME it is very unlikely to play any of events 5,6,7 and 8 Would prefer to sell as a package, but may also sell individual pieces per event.(will reserve individual events if full package doesn't sell) Total entrie costs US$2590 with mark up @1.2 US$3108 at current xe rates GBP1930 40% GBP 772 10% GBP 193 5% GBP 96.50 1% GBP 19.30 Bank much prefered but moneybooker possible. Not much to report, played the first event, 99 v 10's on a 533 flop ended that. Didnt play event 2 as I woke up with the dreaded man flu, so will return to backers. Still not 100%, so have opted to play the main event day 1b which is tomorrow 1pm (Cambodia time+7hrs), will decide tomorrow if its wise to play, but pretty sure I will. Will post more detailed report tomorrow night, wifi not the best in hotel Neil Title: Re: APT Cambodia Post by: geordieneil on November 18, 2012, 07:44:31 AM Off to a good start in the main. After a tough beat last night i was left with 28600 for day 2 with an average of 37k and change. I started the day of well when i raised with 44 and a short stack shoved,i was pot committed so had to call, Guy had AJ and i held. picked up a lot of blinds and antes on a nitty table and got up to around 57k, then possibly the most moodiest thing i've seen in poker happened......A tournement director was talking to me and when the action got to me in the small blind,,,, I looked around the table, there was no cards or chips visible.....the bb was short stacked and very nitty (approx 9000 blinds 600/1200) so I anounced all in. as expected the nitty bb folded, i went to muck my cards when french twat utg pushed his chips forward.?.?.?.?.?.?...he had completely covered his cards and chips, I was fuming......I know you are responsible to watch the action, but I was distracted by the TD and did thouroghly check the table before I announced all in....obv he had AA and it cost me over 27k. I calmed down and worked my way back to 45k......went completely card dead and spot dead for a couple of levels and got moved to a table with Sam Razavi to my left....I'm now just under 40k when i get AK in the Hi-Jack.....i raise to 4400...button calls blinds fold....flop K45r.....i bet out 6700....after a dwell the button repops me to 15k......looked a great flop for me so got them in...guy snaps with trip 5's........5 on the turn to give him quads and gg me. still 3 events left so hopefully pick something up......pretty gutted, but happy with the way i've played (mot including the moddy frenchmans AA) There will be returns regardless as missed some events, will work out everthing once completed Neil |
