Title: Imperfect Equity Question for a Maths Boffin (5 Card) Post by: jjandellis on October 27, 2012, 10:06:15 AM OK, so this may not be in the right place as I'm not looking for analysis - I know I played it as optimally as possible - but I'm actually trying to work out what the odds of me winning this hand were. That said I cannot remember ALL the cards my opponents had. Ordinarily I would just pump this into NLH or PLO stove - but we were playing 5 card, so don't believe I can do that (or can I?).
To make it simple, 'Player 3' was pure spinning, had none of my cards and barely seemed to connect to the flop (believe they were all LOW). So is it easier to eradicate him from our workings? My holding - AH QH AC QC KC Villain - 7s 7d 5s 4s 3d Flop 7H JH TC Turn 8C So I make that any A, Q, 9, C, H wins it for me (14 outs on flop/22 outs on turn cus we discount the case 7) Can anyone give crunch exact probabilities (or near as dam it)???? Or the formula for working it out. Not moaning, but just flabbergasted I missed the world and wanting to know out of curiosity!!! Cheers :) Title: Re: Imperfect Equity Question for a Maths Boffin (5 Card) Post by: KarmaDope on October 27, 2012, 10:29:48 AM 6 clubs - 7c & Jc give him a house/quads
7 hearts - Th 8h do the same 2 aces 2 kings 2 queens 2 nines 21 outs on the turn I think, eradicating Player 3's holdings as he could have low hearts/clubs which ruin our outs. So if HU its 21/38 x100 = 55.26% to win on the river. There is a fee for the code, £30 I think, but it's worth it like 40x Title: Re: Imperfect Equity Question for a Maths Boffin (5 Card) Post by: SuuPRlim on October 30, 2012, 10:52:20 PM If I had it i'd give you it for free lol
