Our hand is pretty face up, but its not actually what it looks like. In the second post and we do indeed have the nuts blocked Title: Re: Weird faceup spot Post by: cambridgealex on November 08, 2012, 11:19:14 PM What's the buyin and do we have the nut blocker? Basically this is it.
To a random fish, our hand looks very much like AK. This isnt our hand, but it plays exactly the same in this spot (we have AA obv), being that he doesnt have AK ever (imo). Even though we do block the nuts, there are a few flushes he could have in this spot (ie 1 pair on the flop, donk because hes a fish and must be good, call the turn because we have flush draw, shove river because it looks like I have AK and thats toppest pair toppest kicker. I just felt that his range is definitely alot better than our hand, even though he can just be spacking off with worse 1 pairs. We also have 40 BBs left if we fold the river. Really that easy a call based on the fact we have bare Aspades? Title: Re: Weird faceup spot Post by: stato_1 on November 09, 2012, 12:38:50 AM fold, very happy about it. Raise flop
Title: Re: Weird faceup spot Post by: tron1ft8 on November 09, 2012, 02:09:05 AM how quickly did they shove the river? its close spot here but i think if they snap shoves this river iam more inclined to call against a random fish taking this line.
Title: Re: Weird faceup spot Post by: rfgqqabc on November 09, 2012, 02:22:42 AM fold, very happy about it. Raise flop I also rofl raise the flop! Like 7385. Fold river I guess Title: Re: Weird faceup spot Post by: JK on November 09, 2012, 02:29:35 AM River was a fairly quick shove. Nothing Imclickingallinasfastaspossible, but fairly fast.
Yeah should probably raise the flop Title: Re: Weird faceup spot Post by: rfgqqabc on November 09, 2012, 09:27:00 AM River was a fairly quick shove. Nothing Imclickingallinasfastaspossible, but fairly fast. Yeah should probably raise the flop In some cases donks from fish are really week but with most you can raise flop with impunity and they'll never fold. Could be peeled by hands as week as ace9 etc if you raise small! Hope this doesn't sound really condescending by the way. Also if anyone disagrees please say. Title: Re: Weird faceup spot Post by: pleno1 on November 09, 2012, 11:51:18 AM Not sure I raise flop raising turn may be better we're in position and get to see how he reacts and what sizing he uses.

In the second post and we do indeed have the nuts blocked This makes it a fold imo. Ideal line is raise (raise/fold) flop, bet turn, check river I think Does anyone fold the turn as played? |
