Title: Good for you Tim Chung. Hope its good karma
Post by: smashedagain on November 25, 2012, 12:19:58 PM
I know From personal experience that Tim is a decent fellow and am really impressed with him and how he conducts himself. I also know Chinese Frankie is a big fanboy too but this just reaffirms my view.

Whilst playing at yesterday's GPS in Sheffield a hand occured where Tim 3 bet the button after  Jh opens. His opponent then 4 bet jams and moves all his chips across the line. Tim, obv shy, mutter something that no one heard, even the guys sat either side of him. He then shows A8........ Villan shows AA and the dealer starts pushing the pot towards the Villan who was quite content.

To every bodies suprise Tim then pipes up "wait a minute I said call".

Tim proceeds to lose a substantial pot. I know some of you are thinking "stupid Chinese kid" just fancied a gamble coz he has a hand with an 8 in it but I just think it is refreshing to see someone so honest

I done something similar with the exact same hands v the sicilian a couple of months ago. Still hurts now that dealer got it so wrong. And unfortunately I had to accept half the pot, with a much inferior hand.

I did it once and no one gave a shit, never mind start a thread dedicated to me.

We commissioned a statue of you that now stands in Solihull town centre.

Tim is a very honest lad. Been friends with him since he moved to Nottingham from Brum (we were on a training course at DTD together) and you'll struggle to find a more morally correct guy in poker

Always a nice bloke at the table, and can definitely play as well.
