Title: 10000 to 1 shot Post by: EvilPie on November 30, 2012, 02:23:43 PM I just had a new credit card delivered which came with a new PIN.
I took the card with the PIN reminder to a cash point to change it to my regular PIN. Bit of a shock when I opened the reminder and saw it was already my regular number!! Pretty boring I know but I had to tell someone. Title: Re: 10000 to 1 shot Post by: kinboshi on November 30, 2012, 02:27:33 PM Hope you've now changed the PIN number...
Title: Re: 10000 to 1 shot Post by: Cf on November 30, 2012, 02:44:05 PM 9999:1 shot innit?
Actually. I daresay it isn't even that. They prob exclude 1111, 2222, 1234, etc. Title: Re: 10000 to 1 shot Post by: AndrewT on November 30, 2012, 02:45:34 PM 9999:1 shot innit? Actually. You said it as a ratio, not betting odds (which would be 9999/1). No one is taking my crown as most pedantic fker on Blonde. The ratio representation is valid usage of betting odds! 9999/1 = 9999:1 = 9999 to 1 Title: Re: 10000 to 1 shot Post by: George2Loose on November 30, 2012, 02:54:06 PM Why didn't u open the envelope first and save yourself a trip?

Title: Re: 10000 to 1 shot Post by: smashedagain on November 30, 2012, 03:57:10 PM Don't matter what the PIN number is because anyone trying to take your card from you will be too stupid to use a cashpoint

No, it's a myth. Also, if your PIN number was 8008, how would you type it in backwards? Title: Re: 10000 to 1 shot Post by: bobAlike on November 30, 2012, 05:15:07 PM I was stuck in the rain at an airbase once waiting for someone to open a coded door. They didn't turn up but I managed to get the code from someone else. It was the same as one my cards. I'm guessing that it's the same kind of odds.

Oneof your cards - if you have four cards then it's only a quarter the odds surely. Title: Re: 10000 to 1 shot Post by: Cf on November 30, 2012, 05:31:56 PM 5318008
