Title: BAJUNKI TILTED. Lies and Social Media.
Post by: rfgqqabc on January 03, 2013, 02:41:42 AM
This picture recently got shared on my wall.

I have a huge problem with this. Within 30 seconds of reading it, and using google, I found virtually all of it to be 100% lies.

This is a link the a pdf that explains all the bullshit. Below i will post exerpts.

"The figures in the final column of the table in the email bear no relation to any UK out-of-work benefit rates. The current rate of income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, for example, is £71.00 a week for a single person aged 25 or over, or £111.45 for a couple. People in receipt of out-of-work benefits may also receive Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit, but the table does not mention assistance with housing costs.
Asylum seekers – ie persons awaiting a decision on an asylum application – are not entitled to mainstream non-contributory social security benefits including income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income Support and Housing Benefit. Instead, they may be eligible for accommodation and/or financial support from the UK Border Agency.
Cash support for asylum seekers is less generous than social security benefits; for example, a single person aged 18 or over currently receives £36.62 a week and a couple £72.52 a week."

"The full Category A Retirement Pension is currently £107.45 a week. Pensioners whose total income – including their Retirement Pension – is less than the Pension Credit Guarantee Credit may be able to get their income “topped-up” to that level. The Pension Credit Guarantee Credit for a single pensioner is £142.70 a week, and £217.90 for a couple, but further additions may be payable for disability and/or carers."

This sort of thing is just racist. 1752 shares about 12 since i first saw it. Absolutely pathetic. Is there no hope in this world?

Something on the internet isn't true?

I'd stick to the Daily Mail for accurate facts and unbiased reporting on immigration.

Just pissed off someone who I know could share such a link. I'm still tilted now. Reported it to Facebook so will see what happens from there.

Almost everything that people just copy and paste into their updates is completely useless.

If nobody did that anymore the World would be a much better place :)
