Title: Continuing range Post by: pleno1 on January 03, 2013, 02:59:51 PM Readless we all start with 280$
Hijac opens to $6 We call in the c/o Sb squeezes to $26 Hijac goes $52 Whats our continuing range? Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: rfgqqabc on January 03, 2013, 03:24:42 PM Jam AK/TT+ but it seems a total waste to do anything wider than that, and I can't imagine having these hands very often. Might rofl flat AA/KK if there was a chance i could be perceived as a fish i.e on a new site etc. Seems like a spot we have to put a lot at risk readless so tight = right
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: pleno1 on January 03, 2013, 03:28:02 PM getting in 10s seems absurd?
i folded a very strong hand :D Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: outragous76 on January 03, 2013, 03:55:58 PM Yeah Im QQ+ with the specific reason being I think we rep exactly AK/TT/JJ once we flat get it in
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: rfgqqabc on January 03, 2013, 04:08:33 PM getting in 10s seems absurd? i folded a very strong hand :D Perhaps an example of where i shouldn't be posting because I'm not in touch with those games/never have been. I like having a splash about though, and I wouldn't have found you thought getting in TT was absurd. :) Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: pleno1 on January 03, 2013, 04:22:31 PM I think QQ is probably too loose.
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: outragous76 on January 03, 2013, 04:35:45 PM I think QQ is probably too loose. Was going to add I still cringe with QQ thou Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: Free_Rollin on January 03, 2013, 04:59:36 PM Readless, I'm not folding QQ.
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: muckthenuts on January 03, 2013, 11:18:38 PM Midstakes just plays so aggro everywhere now i can't imagine folding QQ here. JJ seems close.
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: smashedagain on January 03, 2013, 11:20:47 PM Just spoke to John black. He says any two cards :)
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: pleno1 on January 04, 2013, 12:51:01 AM I folded ak btw
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: pleno1 on January 04, 2013, 02:35:15 PM lild?
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: SuuPRlim on January 04, 2013, 04:49:32 PM I think JJ is closer than AK, i'd fold AK here I think
Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: Honeybadger on January 04, 2013, 08:42:29 PM I think JJ is closer than AK, i'd fold AK here I think Pretty sure AK is better than JJ in this spot. I'd fold both of them without a specific reason/read not to, but if I had to continue with one of them I'd choose AK. Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: pleno1 on January 04, 2013, 08:58:25 PM I think JJ is closer than AK, i'd fold AK here I think Pretty sure AK is better than JJ in this spot. I'd fold both of them without a specific reason/read not to, but if I had to continue with one of them I'd choose AK. yeah i think this is pretty obv and agree. i folded anyway, me and stu agreeing on everything in 2013! Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: rfgqqabc on January 04, 2013, 09:25:35 PM I think JJ is closer than AK, i'd fold AK here I think Pretty sure AK is better than JJ in this spot. I'd fold both of them without a specific reason/read not to, but if I had to continue with one of them I'd choose AK. Scared to post this! Blockers and equity when dominated. Really cool thread would like a long detailed explanation. I wouldn't ever flat a big hand here I don't think. Would this be necessary readless. This thread's made me feel a million miles off beating decent stake 6max! Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: pleno1 on January 04, 2013, 10:50:23 PM people fold too much vs 3bets, calling ak is good/relatively std with positions
also protects our range enormously. Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: SuuPRlim on January 05, 2013, 01:07:38 AM I think JJ is closer than AK, i'd fold AK here I think Pretty sure AK is better than JJ in this spot. AK is closer than JJ and i'd fold AK (prolly) so by the logic i'd also fold JJ (which should be fairly obviously here) if i'm folding JJ i guess i'd also fold QQ....(in theory...) Title: Re: Continuing range Post by: Ant040689 on January 05, 2013, 04:04:37 AM I know you folded AK, but i am intrigued as to why AK is better than JJ, isn't it likely that in the 4 hands involved there are probably 2 more A's or K's in the hands of the others making your hand so much worse? How does that fare with the chance of JJ being dominated by QQ-AA? Interesting.
KK+ shove for me, and QQ on the basis of any feel for the table, but as you say readless, I would go off the normal standard of that particular sites' games at that level. I am a cash newb btw. How does that fare with the chance of JJ being dominated by QQ-AA? Interesting. AKo has better equity vs QQ+ and AK (about 2% more) and AK also does a lot more to block their value combos whereas JJ doesn't really (3bettor could have JJ, 4bettor unlikely to be 4betting JJ this deep). So if we 5bet jam AKo we should expect to get called less often and have slightly better equity when we do than when we 5bet jam JJ in this same spot. Both AKo and JJ do about the same vs KK+. |
