Title: Steampunk Post by: Mohican on January 05, 2013, 10:48:45 AM I have a passing interest in Steampunk and whilst researching Steampunk Tattoos I came across this Steampunk motorcycle.

Can't see me ever being able to afford summat like this but one can dream. Just googled 'steampunk tattoos', have seen them around but never knew that's what they were called.
Funnily enough I have also been researching tattoos. Have settled on a Clint Eastwood cowboy outline but with my grandad's portrait in the place of Clint's face. Just waiting to see how much my bonus is at the end of the month then hopefully will get it booked in for mid Feb. Let us know what you decide on. Post a pic up of your tat when it's done, I'd like to have a look. Funnily enough I have also been researching tattoos. Title: Re: Steampunk Post by: Rod Paradise on January 05, 2013, 01:53:21 PM The bike was made to match a description in the steampunk version of Sherlock Holmes stories, there's a sidecar to go with it. I'll try and find the magazine that had an article on it. Beautiful work.
Steampunk, for those who don't know, is loosely based on 20,000 leagues under the sea, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen type stories. Where the 19th Century, handmade elegance and cogs and gears mechanics are introduced into modern tech, so how Jules Verne would have imagined the modern machinery looking/operating.
