Title: Live £1/2 hand Post by: muckthenuts on January 15, 2013, 03:19:56 PM Hi, i know villain is good online $1/2 player who's been active but no personal history on the table.
He opens to £8 ep. I 3b Ad Ahrt in pos to £22, £400 eff. (too small or ok?) Tilting player cold flats, villain flats. Flop Kc Qc 5d Check, i bet £40, just villain calls. Turn 6h He leads £57. I think for a bit and call (ok?) River Jh He leads £108. Wug? Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: edgascoigne on January 15, 2013, 03:45:51 PM I'm ok with size pre...perhaps a bit bigger like £27, it is live cash after all.
Flop obv standard, though I may check it from time to time. It would feel really weird to me that he's decided to lead the turn. He's bet £57 into like £145 leaving about £280 effective. If you peel there's £260 in the pot on the end. Don't think you can really raise the turn as it feels like he can then play pretty optimally? Folding isn't pretty which leaves you with the option you took, though my spidey senses would be tingling. So £368 in the pot otr and it's £108 to call. It just feels like he's pricing us in. We've 3b and c-bet on KQ5, called a turn barrel....and still he fires the J on the end. Not even like a 'fuck off' barrel either. A value barrel. I reckon he's got what he's repping. If he's gone all FPS with 10-Jcc, A-xcc, 7-8/9cc God bless him....but I think you can pass here. £30 pre, then as played and call on the end, however I am a serial non believer these days. Don't get me wrong...it's a seriously compelling price! Much as it hurts to muck 'em I'm just not sure this can be a bluff often enough to call them off. Interested to see how the thread develops mind :) Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: ruud on January 15, 2013, 08:50:40 PM I agree with Edward Gascoigne
though I would have preferred him to use bigger words in his explanation Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: titaniumbean on January 15, 2013, 09:52:19 PM I'd make it bigger pre, as it's live, 200bb deep and he's 4xed. People wont bat an eyelid if you make it 30 instead of 22 nor will they change their peeling range.
I'm call calling and right clicking on his forehead to colour code him and make a note. Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: cambridgealex on January 16, 2013, 01:03:45 AM Like Gascoigne's analysis.

Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: cambridgealex on January 16, 2013, 07:53:28 AM Thoughts on r/c turn? Don't really like it, when he leads turn our hand is basically a bluff catcher and unless we think this is he optimal way to induce out of his JTs (think it was KQx right?) and AJs, ATs then I'd just keep it simple and call the turn. Get doing my quiz btw, not like you've got other stuff on your mind at the minute. |
