Title: DTD, GPS, GUKPT & UKIPT - Thoughts & improvements? Post by: aaron1867 on January 22, 2013, 01:27:22 PM All 4 of them have made very decent prizepool over the last 12 months, but wanted to see thoughts of others and suggestions for any?
DTD - Good first few months of 2012, but after the UKIPT saw a decrease and misses of a few gte's. As for suggestions, can't really think of any, think they have us all catered for. GPS - Looks as if they have had a great year and have added a few new dates for 2013. . My only suggestion here is that they could actually add a few dates in, but I am not familiar with Gentings casino's so not really sure which venues are big enough. UKIPT - Looks to have also had a very decent year, think we had discussion on this a few months ago. Probably could add 1 or 2 more dates. GUKPT - It was once the best tour in the country, but now probably the worst. I am not sure if anyone will agree with that, but the only one out of the four that is struggling and actually cutting locations, rather than adding. Looking foward to a decent 2013 for some of these? Title: Re: DTD, GPS, GUKPT & UKIPT - Thoughts & improvements? They are guaranteeing £1,750,000 unconditionally in 2013 and will have 2 brand new venues/locations on the tour, so don't count them out quite yet! Post by: Yian on January 22, 2013, 04:43:41 PM I dunno if this is because of recent successful tournament but I feel like this may be the best year yet in term of runners in these tournaments. When you see poker players undeterred by recession, bad weather, etc, you know there's no stopping them.

Post by: maccer2613 on January 22, 2013, 08:11:36 PM Always found the UKIPT to be the best organised of the tours that go to different venues - just find it strange with how their season is scheduled - season 3 goes from Feb 2012 to March 2013. There was no leg from mid May to September which seems a long time - I guess because of Vegas ?
I think the GPS is excellent for the slightly smaller buy in, well organised and good structure. Title: Re: DTD, GPS, GUKPT & UKIPT - Thoughts & improvements?
