Title: PC Help
Post by: Eck on January 23, 2013, 09:20:25 PM
Recently re-installed windows on my desktop and the graphics are now really jittery. I had a video card installed on it to allow 2 monitors to be run but can't find anything for it.

i realise i need to install the driver for the card but i can't see the name in device manager it only says VGA controller which i believe is the generic version is that correct??

bit vague i know but any advice would be gratefully welcomed

yeah was hoping to avoid opening it up, lazy sod and pretty clumsy so likely to smash the motherboard.

ok now installed the driver and set up the 2 monitors but one is going to standby. i have changed the connections over at the back of the box and still the same so doesn't look like a dodgy connection.

Any ideas?

have you swapped cables around in the ports (at PC end) to see if it works in the other port?

Yes, mentioned that above, that i changed the connections on the box but same issue continues.

don't think so the monitor worked fine a few days ago and like i say when i boot i get the windows logo etc so it is ok must be something missing somewhere.
