Title: UK Poker Hall of Fame Post by: dino1980 on January 31, 2013, 12:06:06 PM Whilst reading the PokerNews updates of the Aussie Millions I was intrigued to learn that there's an Australian Poker Hall of Fame, which was started in 2009. Their criteria for entry is as follows:
Are current or former residents of Australia or New Zealand, Have demonstrated outstanding and extended service to the game, bringing credit to Australian Casino Tournament Poker, and/or Have displayed significant player excellence. Link: - http://www.pokernetwork.com/australian-poker-hall-of-fame/ There's also of course the Poker Hall of Fame, (there are no Brits currently in it or non-Americans from what I can tell) their criteria for entry changed in 2009 (public vote) and is currently: A gambler must have played poker against acknowledged top competition, Played for high stakes, Played consistently well, gained the respect of peers, And stood the test of time. Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results. So it got me thinking would a UK or UK & Ireland Poker Hall of Fame be viable and would it be a good idea?
