Its awful, I get stuck on the loop road for days everytime I attempt it. Now I just get taxi's.

haha, I remember the first time I got on the city centre loop.  abso horrific and seemingly impossible to get off again.

At one point I swear there were three roads to choose from and each one had a signpost saying the loop this way.

I must have gone past a pub called The Palace at least 14 times.

So wanted the first post to just say "Dirty".

When we played in naps twice a week it was always a flip on which junction we would hit the motorway. Lol must have been 100 times and still did not know the way out

Sounds like you were lucky, do that in parts of Manchester and you'd be walking home, well asking directions to the station. We don't carry golf clubs in the car to hit little white balls with, then again not far of a decent description of some residents I know.

All other directions!

But Leeds is obv incred!

I think the Leeds road system actually works quite well.... as long as you know it! Otherwise good luck.

In the same way that I find it impossible to get around Manchester. I spent an hour trying to pick my brother up and kept ending up at the same place. In the end he had to walk.

Tis the worst, it also makes the place appear 10 times bigger than it actually is.

I played the Gala tour thing (remember that?) and I got there nice and early, with Sat Nav telling me I was 3 mins away. One hour later I am still on the same roundabout looking for the place. I eventually ended up parking miles away, ringing a taxi and getting it to take me to the casino. Then at the end of the night I made day 2, so I booked a hotel online, got a taxi to where I parked my car, then paid the taxi driver to let me follow him to my hotel.

pretty straightforward day 2 brag...

At least we have chess to talk about.

Leeds just got funding for a £20-30m bike lane from colton/Seacroft through York road and City center to Bradford.

This will make it all better......

12 years on my first reaction is still Dirty Leeds.

Every time I meet a new Leeds United fan, and I meet them a lot going up North, I am stuck responding with a Tim Lovejoy catchphrase from Soccer AM.  And I have barely watched it in 20 years. 

Need to move on to, "you were born in Bradford you silly twat", which is my usual 2nd thought.  Good luck to them in the premier league and all that.
