As I said earlier, pre is way way way too big. We have position and a very good hand, we WANT the villain to call. Sometimes we dont even mind a raise imo, but thats dependent on their stats etc.
Also, your flop sizing is too big. Betting 2/3 pot when checked to here basically puts us in a horrid spot where we have to get it in. If this is your plan then fair enough, but by betting so much we're just gonna freeze out all the bluffs he might want to take off with, but also make him fold worse over/flush draw combos. We have decent equity vs his value range though (ie he can never really have KK/AA so we have at least 2 overs + gutshot + flush draw vs all his pairs), so dont mind bet/shove that much really. Title: Re: are my plans flawed Post by: pleno1 on February 07, 2013, 02:39:45 AM flop: pokerstove vs his get in range.
pre flop: 3bet is wayyyy too big, 8200-8800 Title: Re: are my plans flawed Post by: Ironside on February 07, 2013, 02:47:45 AM Cheers guys I was just checking put him on qq with qc thought I had repped to big for any other hand to call me and was 57% against that he actually had smaller over pair so I was still 57% I didn't get there and blew chance of a good score
Notes on the pre over bet taken Title: Re: are my plans flawed Post by: Ironside on February 07, 2013, 03:23:57 AM Still thinking about the hand only other hand that make sense that I would be in bad shape against is ackx I don't think a made flush as I think I fold out aq pre
Title: Re: are my plans flawed Post by: PutYouOnAK/AQ on February 07, 2013, 06:08:33 PM Other than the 3bet being too large I think you played this hand fine. If he has a small pair then you certainly dont fold out aq or probably aj so vs bare a-clubs we are in good shape as well. FWIW don't be results orientated, Villain has played this hand horrifically!
