Shove or fold?

Don't really like shoving ~22bb with anything, especially not  8s 9s. How passive are the blinds? Would be looking to min raise/fold with this stack size; if you think you are going to get reshoved on alot by the button or blinds then this makes it more of a fold.

I wonder how wrong the shove is?

Definitely don't shove. Open or fold.

It's probably somewhere around neutral EV to shove, obv gonna depend on calling ranges

right, nice one. 15 bbs is the highest bbs amount to open shove from this position, to standard calling ranges?

I mean there's no strict rule of thumb, I would happily shove 16bbs here with some hands, but jamming here would be like jamming 1500 at 50/100 which presumably you would never do.

Ant

Why would you want to shove 22bbs with this hand? Really wondering on your thought process?

Agree with TL, r/f

Seemingly a brain fart sir, I don't go about shoving hands like this too often as I really would have no money left to spaz.

I don't like inflating the pot to be re raised here as they take control of the aggression of the pot and I don't often flop.something where I am feeling very comfortable, as in there is normally always one over.

I really didn't think the open limp with a hand like this was viable at all from a winning player out of snobbery for just never open limping! Ha. Definitely has its merits here though. The pot is less inflated, despite the bet behind and your hand plays well multiway. So you got in on the relative cheap to potentially flop massive or go home.

Will be torn between the 2.1 bbs open and the open limp now, tyty guys. Need to use this section of the forum more often.

Most important thing when considering opening these hands is the stacks and activity behind.

If they are all tight and playing 20 bbs it's an easy open.

In this spot if you feel the guy with 12bbs has been looking for a spot then it's a trivial fold for me.

That must have been the vibe on reflection, I thought a lot of activity behind, but I really don't want to fold so I lol shipped. I think the limp then is ok? Or just welcoming the ship behind?

Can we balance this out by open limping Aces here?

Id stick to ABC and just open raise, limping requires some very specific thought process post flop,

and no, Im not limping AA ever.

I find myself doing crazy shit all the time though, on the exploratory vibe. Think its good to know where the limits are in the game you are playing at the expense of some disposable chips.

So will be seeing what the limping game in this spot as to offer me.

Have people thought about the open limp/raise bluff pre flop. How can you not have Aces there in most spots?
