Title: HU cash hand Post by: AdamM on March 08, 2013, 12:29:27 PM Don't use hand analysis board at all, but decided its about time I did.
I'm going to try and put a range of hands up from a variety of online, live or even pub games to be ripped apart. Expecting to be playing everything 5+ years or of date :-) Need to relearn the game. First one is a .25/.50 pub cash game Was full ring bit now HU on account of villain hovering up all the chips. He's sat with £80, me with £35 He's switching from LAG to LP but play everything and shows air regularly. I've been nitty throughout and have opened up a bit since HU. He limps pre. I make it £2 with Jd Td He calls Flop 3h 3s Tc I open £3 He flats Turn Jh I open £6 Makes it £22 saying "I don't think you have a Jack" I ask him if that's what I need? He replies "you could have a 10" I ask does it matter if I've paired the 10 or Jack? He replies "course it matters" I say "you could have Ace 3. It wouldn't matter then." "I haven't got Ace 3" he says and shows his friend. "Tell him I haven't got Ace 3" Mate doesn't react. I put the chip in. He rolls over Q3 and holds. Probably always going broke, but do you play it differently, or get anything else from the speech play? Title: Re: HU cash hand Post by: SuuPRlim on March 08, 2013, 01:43:19 PM yh speech play, = big hand every time almost in my experience. People aren't confident enough to talk like this when they bluffing or unsure of their hand, imo.
Title: Re: HU cash hand Post by: cambridgealex on March 08, 2013, 03:40:59 PM the speech "i don't think you have the jack" then raising is the strongest tell in the book. I would be hating life with a medium or weak 3 in this spot.
he's basically pretending that he's raising because he doesn't think you have anything, rather than raising because he has a good hand. the classic rounders line "yeh im allin because i don't think you've got the spades" when holding nines full.
