Title: Live £1/2 hand Post by: muckthenuts on March 12, 2013, 03:01:34 PM Villain is a very peely type of player who doesn't hand read very well. Doesn't get majorly ool and tends to play pretty face up in some spots, likes to raise for information. He perceives me on the aggro side and gives me a little less credit for hands than most, and i don't think he'll be perceptive enough to quite realise how strong my range should be here.
I open Aspades Kc utg to £7. 4 calls including villain from MP (eff stack £160) Flop Ahrt 6s 7c I lead for £21, he calls. Turn 8c I bet £45, he calls after a short dwell. River Jc Wug? Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: Patonius2000 on March 12, 2013, 03:44:38 PM c/f

Stubborn pairs and lesser aces call and a lot of hands that are beating us probably only flat here. Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: JustinSayne on March 12, 2013, 07:41:06 PM equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 43.750% 39.06% 04.69% 25 3.00 { AsKc } Hand 1: 56.250% 51.56% 04.69% 33 3.00 { A2s+, Kc6c, T9s, 9c6c, 86s+, 76s, 54s, A9o+ } Pretty damn close. We need 50% equity for a breakeven jam in a vacuum I havent included A2-A5o or A6o/A7o/A8o since i expect him to raise flop/turn. Only given him the suited combos for "slow plays" If we presume he never folds Ax and always fast plays 2p+ it becomes a slam dunk. In this case I will give him more 6x flush combos since he will be the peely type if he never folds Ax equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 65.823% 62.03% 03.80% 49 3.00 { AsKc } Hand 1: 34.177% 30.38% 03.80% 24 3.00 { A9s+, A5s-A2s, Kc6c, Qc6c, Jc6c, T9s, Tc6c, 9c6c, 54s, A9o+, A5o-A2o } Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: aaron1867 on March 13, 2013, 10:35:09 AM check call
Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: JustinSayne on March 13, 2013, 11:48:02 AM check call level? Def the nut worse option. If we check it should be to check fold Live players generally dont vbet thin and will check back hands as strong as 67 here. There are no missed draws so he cant bluff either. Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: rfgqqabc on March 13, 2013, 11:52:46 AM Check your hand then pile every chip on top of another and slide in in like a mofo.
Keep looking nervous even if he tanks and you know you are winning. £35-65 is fine as long as your happy making the read he would fold to a shove. Certain people deal with things a different way. One guy would call £200 into 60 if it wasnt all in, another would be more likely to call a shove. Vs anyone who thinks your bluffing I'd jam here and keep up the image and doubt in his mind, especially if there are long term considerations to add into this. Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: pleno1 on March 13, 2013, 11:54:22 AM agree c/call is really bad, v few bluffs and he doesn't thinly jam aq here.
Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: SuuPRlim on March 13, 2013, 12:04:57 PM for whats left in stacks seems like jamming is your only play. you can pretend you were bluffing if he snaps and if he folds he'll feel like you're aggro running him over and people will be more scared off you #grrrrr
Title: Re: Live £1/2 hand Post by: muckthenuts on March 13, 2013, 05:29:47 PM I lost to A9cc in the end. I debated c/f in game thinking shoving might be too thin but pretty happy that it was fine now
