Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: Ironside on June 21, 2005, 08:48:55 PM sorry just cut and pasted from the .doc i was sent i am 110% positive its 5% not .5% for 5th
i have already made the comment about the gap between 1st and 2nd to coolblonde Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: tikay on June 21, 2005, 08:57:55 PM 40% and 15% - Wow! And there was us thinking our campaign, and poll, to flatten the prize structures and reduce the deals was gaining momentum. Wrong!
But it's a new event, with a sponsor who is coming on board for the first time, so lets not be churlish. Anyway, Red-Dog is sponsored by the sponsors, WorldofPoker.TV, so I guess he intends to win it and leave everyone else to fight over second place. I hope he does! I would love to play this comp, but it falls on a bad date for me, as I won't be home from Vegas in time. Pah! Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: Ironside on June 21, 2005, 08:59:51 PM i am starting a campaign that this tourny pays 1st of 100% as i plan o winning it with red dog bubbling 2nd
Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: tikay on June 21, 2005, 09:05:30 PM There you go WorldofPoker.TV, it just proves, you can please some of the people some of the time! Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: RED-DOG on June 22, 2005, 10:45:01 AM 40% and 15% - Wow! And there was us thinking our campaign, and poll, to flatten the prize structures and reduce the deals was gaining momentum. Wrong! One word from me....and they do as they like! Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: Rod Paradise on June 22, 2005, 11:17:32 AM I'll need to go & joing the casino now.
Think I'll try & play in the satelites on the 2nd July. Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: RED-DOG on June 22, 2005, 11:58:22 AM i plan o winning it with red dog bubbling 2nd Sorry Iron, trophy looks nice, thats going south of the border By the way, how come your getting inside information......is it a scottish, secret handshake jobbie? Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: Ironside on June 22, 2005, 12:02:22 PM well you see you have a sponsor that organising this event they realised as well as being crap at poker you aint too hot on the old internet so they sent me the deatails
this way if i print the info and they change it there sponsored pro dont get egg on his face Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: tikay on June 22, 2005, 12:10:23 PM Egg on his face? It looks bad enough already with that moustache jobbie. Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: RED-DOG on June 22, 2005, 12:11:06 PM I like egg, it compliments my eyes

Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: CoolHand on June 22, 2005, 05:21:04 PM So that will mean it's twice as nice! ;)
Anyway, after a long night at the tables, you'll want a lovely bed with lots of comfy pillows. Plus, poker pros like you are worth a small fortune. Aren't they? ;D Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: Ironside on June 22, 2005, 05:26:20 PM poker pro?
there wont be any pro there wsop will be in its final week its also clashing with a comp in blackpool in fact it could be a HU comp between me and reddog Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: CoolHand on June 22, 2005, 06:15:58 PM LOL!
:D In that case I should definitely try to get up to Glasgow for the Satelites. If I can qualify, I stand a chance of coming 3rd!!!! (I wish!) Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: Ironside on June 22, 2005, 06:19:07 PM if 3 of us start we each take the top up and you finish 3rd you get 150 2nd gets 225 first gets 600 and the 525 left over goes to the other 17 places in the top 20
Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: Scottish Dave on June 22, 2005, 06:46:46 PM As it's the Thistle Classic then I think the only sensible place to stay is the Thistle Hotel :D its not the same place lads, they are about 1/4 mile away from each other! its just the same name thats all Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: doubleup on June 22, 2005, 07:21:47 PM Although it's great that Edinburgh are having a festival and this tourney is planned - I have to question the timing. I going to miss Edinburgh as I'll be in Vegas and barring a miracle* I'll be coming back on the 13/14th - so I'll prob be too knackered to play in Glasgow.
*miracle = winning a place in the WSOP on willhill on Sunday AND still being in the WSOP on the day my flight leaves Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: Bazzaboy on June 22, 2005, 08:36:33 PM I will definetly be playing. Will probably give the sats a go if I can find the time.

Title: Re: Thistle Classic Post by: doubleup on July 02, 2005, 08:26:38 AM "unless they were wrapped around fried mars bar and chips"
Believe it or not yesterday we saw a stall in LV selling the equivalent of a deep fried Mars bar. "We have an obesity problem so we'll start taking dietary tips from the heart attack capital of Europe" The Americans are innovative as always in finding ways to solve the pension crisis. |
