Title: Malaysian F1 - Help Claypole & Amatay Knock It In
Post by: claypole on March 22, 2013, 02:17:57 PM
Right guys....we are sat in a hotel nursing hangovers and I am trying to get Amatay excited about the F1....in his words "it's shit" - so the only way is to get him betting on some stuff.

So, what do our resident F1 experts fancy? I was lucky enough (thin I know) to go to Simon Lazenbys irthday party Wednesday; met Crofty and Johnny Herbert who were bth pretty keen on Ferrai top scoring team at 9/4, however think Laddies have taken market down.

So, what do we fancy? Background - I'm knocking it in after our horse lost Tuesday so need to get out....

Let us have some selections please team.

Thin

Just back Raikkonen to win at 5/2 job done.  Get him while he is hot.  There is a short time between races, so little chance the others are going to get much better. Chances of a wet race are high, presumably you know this as you are in Malaysia.

That was my first thought...although I do think market will overreact to qualifying when Red Bull inevitably take pole so may back then. No rain today, rain yesterday afternoon. Think it's like a 60% chance.  Keep them coming.

Sorry, got interrupted.  If the race is going to be wet, skill is far more important than it is normally.  Years ago Senna dragged a Toleman up to Prost's McLaren to "win" in Monaco in very wet conditions.  In those conditions you want to be on the best drivers.  The most talented ones are Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel and Raikkonen.  So I think Hamilton is interesting, as he is much bigger than the other 3, but you absolutely need rain.

In the dry he is toast.  His car isn't good enough to wins race in the dry currently.

If we get the soaking of our lives, we have to collect. Amatay is saying he's "had four bets ob sport he hates" - however I will talk him around.

He's in form...he just picked out three games 2 mins before kick off. bmouth, orient draw and Carlisle draw. He wants a score on my account, I say let's chop a £50. We leave bar after 89mins after railing B365 "visualisation" in low spirits, and arrive at hotel in find two Carlise goals 90 and 94th min oi oi.

So, tomorrow we are on:

Joint bets:

Hamilton / Raikonnen dual forecast at 33/1 (mug proce we had dough on )
Button to podium

Amatay

Hamilton fastest lap 16/1
Webber to podium 4/1
Alonso to win 5/2

Me

Raikonnen at 5/2 down to Doobs
Raikonnen at 13/2 as I said I'd do yesterday fml

As an aside I am spending day in paddock.....with Marussia team lol. Should be incred, even if not Mercedes

Wow - sounds a great day - do you get one walk through of the pits or do you get to stand in their garage per race.

I'm hoping both..a...won't know until I get there as a friend has sorted, meeting tat TV Compound two hours before race. Will be fun whatever, I've done pit lance walks a few times with corporates but never seen race from garage which is quite appealing. Sure I will get to to rail my friend working as well which will be cool to see him in action.

Should be paying a fiver for the next bad beat.  We don't tolerate this level of run good in these parts.

Had an amazing day....got out reasonably unscathed after a last minute Hamilton to podium bit.

Was a great experience, so lucky - the only bit I run bad in Doobs, is my friend is much less milf like than Ms Perry, is male and heads up the competition. My you Pinkers.....worth watching Sky for.

Amatay was even buzzing after, think he loved it.  Now a week relaxing in Phuket and down to Melbourne to try and get out of it.

Whilst Pussycat Claypole was mingling with the stars poor old Amatay was trying to avoid the rain on the hill.

It was a great experience tbf.  To see/hear the speed and noise of them cars was incredible and to witness the ability of the drivers to control them things was immense. Glad I went!

Would like to be Claypole just for one day. WAFL

Out of interest, what was the shortest price that Webber was matched in running on Betfair?
