Title: 6 card h/l super deep game Post by: 77dave on March 29, 2013, 12:07:02 PM Playing in a super deep with lots of action 2/2 dc game.
been a straddle to 4 game is 7 handed utg folds and action is on us playing around 800. 4 stacks on the table have us covered biggest stack is 2k. we are dealt Ahrt Ac 2h 3h 3c 9s and we make it 16 to play. we get called in 3 spots pot now is 70. flop is 3s 4s Kh action is on us. 2k stack is on our left and called directly behind, button and straddle both called. what do we do? Title: Re: 6 card h/l super deep game Post by: SuuPRlim on March 29, 2013, 12:17:20 PM I would bet £50, and see what happens, won't be folding to a raise, but won't be getting my stack i either. I think with this stack depth it's gonna need a VERY VERY strong hand that wants to raise this flop multi-way and we dont really mind going 3-4 ways to the turn if that happens.
Obv if there's loads of flop action we'll have to fold, and we'll also be chk/folding a few turn cards, K's, high spades. If you decided to chk/call, that's actually alright too, I personally prefer to take the lead in spots with hands that can stand some immeadiate heat. I think 50 or 60 both fine. Don't like the pot button personally. Agree with the bigman in regards to some heat being ok but not playing for stacks I imagine.
Disclaimer: only ever played 4 card online and mostly tournaments Title: Re: 6 card h/l super deep game Post by: 77dave on March 30, 2013, 07:31:16 PM Well I decided to check the flop. I like my hand but I'm not totally in love with it. I have A2 but I have no backup on it, ok I have bottom set but I'm not totally sure where they are and I'm sure the ace bit of spades is out there somewhere.
I check. The big blind bets 70 button folds and the straddle calls. I decide to just call the 70. Turn now leaves us with a board of 3s 4s Kh 9c Straddle checks action is on us and pot is now 280 Title: Re: 6 card h/l super deep game Post by: rfgqqabc on March 30, 2013, 08:13:52 PM That is the thing, it doesn't matter what we do. People are going to make mistakes, if we are last to act here I'd be 220 but not sure we are. If the original flop bettor is behind we probably have to check altho its kinda sucky.
Title: Re: 6 card h/l super deep game Post by: SuuPRlim on March 31, 2013, 03:21:22 AM chk/fold now imo.
Your flop check is ok, defo cant be bad, keeps pot small and action contained but in general "IDK where I am so i'll chk/call is NOT a good strategy" |
