they put free fibre optic cable into our house , what we realy notice is the upload speed which is 20mb/s , download is 76mb/s but varies a bit , in few years time will be 300mb/s http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/broadband/infinity Title: Re: finally .............................. Post by: kinboshi on April 09, 2013, 06:25:32 PM Worst thing about BT Infinity is that they throttle P2P connections at 'peak times'.
Title: Re: finally .............................. Post by: KarmaDope on April 09, 2013, 06:28:23 PM So who would you recommend for fibre then Kin?
Virgin, sadly, don't serve my area. Title: Re: finally .............................. Post by: Ironside on April 09, 2013, 06:30:20 PM likely 2030 before we get anything like infinity
Title: Re: finally .............................. Post by: Dino on April 09, 2013, 07:33:57 PM It should be fine to plug a broadband filter into the test socket then the phone and broadband straight into that, you will still be bypassing the internal wiring.
