Hey everyone  :)

Me and Matt (Rexas) are starting a fun, HU challenge.

We are playing a total of 50 HU SnG's, a mixture of online and live games with varying stakes. The winner is the person who wins the most matches, not the most money and whoever loses has to donate a minimum of £100 to a charity of the other persons choice.
 
We will also be doing 10 game cycles. Whoever is losing at the end of every 10 games has to do a forfeit, we are hoping you guys will help us come up with some good, funny ideas for this - however outrageous they might be.

We will be updating this thread with the results and anything interesting or funny that happens in each game.

So, I luckboxed my way to a 1-0 lead. Highlight for me was a c bet bluff with 32hh into K99 which got through.

It is currently 1-0 to Matt with a long way to go...

Matt doesn't c-bet often, so they count as his biggest bluffs  :D

I've been wanting to play a HU challenge with either of these fish for a while :p I keep getting turned down, I suppose they just recognise true class :D

Seriously though this could get very amusing.

Prediction? Melissa totally outclasses matt but matt comes out on top due to his superior luck boxing skills (he actually runs insanely well vs her lifetime)

you might want get these HU sngs out of the way quickly melissa, if you wait a few months rexas will have p!ssed all of that 20k winnings away and not be able to donate to charity ;)

Love the idea of doing one whilst drunk, this will have to be live. With maybe some rules which involve taking shots throughout the game...

It would also be great to do our final on on the DTD live stream, hopefully we can sort that out nearer the time and also it should be our highest stake one, seeing as it is our last and both our bankrolls should have grown a fair bit by then too (unless one of us goes broke in the process)

Hello everyone,

We have another HU match this evening on stars at around 7pm

It is a bit of a gap since our first match, mainly because Marris has been busy gallivanting around DTD every night and also playing (and busting) some live tournaments  ;)

Anyway, all rubs aside, hopefully these will be more frequent from now on and may the best lady win  ::)

Enjoyed hole card access to a replay of match 1, must say, there was some daring cbet bluffs from both sides, not just marris!

Looking forward to more of the same in round 2!

im 1rexas1, its currently 1-0 to me. We are also starting at the slightly earlier time of 6:30 today, so in 10 minutes or so. Railbirds welcome, although it is on a home game, so not sure if its "railable"

why am i so good lucky :) 2/0, after an unpleasant final hand. Melissa definitely changed her game a lot since last time, it will be interesting to see how we both continue to adapt to each other. Very frightened for next time, especially with all this professional coaching ;)

I've also decided, in honour of ForthThistle's daughter, that my charity of choice will be related to the study of Alopecia. Any specific suggestions would be welcome, will have to do some research if noone comes up with anything they already know of.

I haven't chosen a specific charity yet, I am considering a few.

A bit nervous to put this up, I'm kind of a private person but I feel I should briefly explain the reasons behind the charity that I eventually choose...

Not many (if any) of you will know this, but my Grandad died at the beginning of last month. It was a complete shock to me and my family. Although we knew he had cancer, it was in the early stages so there was a huge chance that he would survive it. He underwent 4 months of treatment, which did work. However, it made him and his immune system very weak.

In his last week, he was taken into hospital due to hypercalcaemia, which made him very confused. Whilst he was there, he became ill with pneumonia and due to his weakened immune system, he wasn't strong enough to fight it and this is what he died from.

I am looking at various charities that support people with cancer, or research it. I am also thinking about choosing the RNLI charity, it helps save lives at sea and my Grandad absolutely loved that place. Him and my Grandma had their 50th wedding anniversary at the RNLI Lifeboat College at the end of last year, which is the last time i saw him. I also have very fond memories of visiting there when I was younger. My third option is to give to the hospital that looked after him whilst he was ill...

Not sure which one to go for but I will update when I have chosen one, I think it will be a nice gesture and gives me more incentive to win  :)

I railed match two and how good does matt run against melissa? She casually turns two pair (ive been told this is a good hand HU :P) and gets it in, only to find matt has flopped a better two pair with the monster K2 :O What a life!

For a guy that claims to run bad he sure does run well :P I heard he once got it in with JJ vs AA and hit a straight, and cracked KK with 77. Cant remember who those hands where against though :/ Can you remember Melissa? ;)

Yes I remember them very well... has Matt not told everyone about the very last hand of the first match? He managed to river 2 pair vs my AA with the mighty K3!!!

Nope, matches 3 and 4 have been postponed, cause Matt was playing a tournament and he can't play 3 tables at one time...

I forgot he is one of these live players that only plays on one table at a time! How boring is that :P Or rages if he plays more than one cause it doubles the amount of beats he "suffers" ;) ;technophobe;

Wow, this is a sad story but unfortunately one that happens all too often. Something very similar happened to my uncle, when I was a teenager. Sorry for your loss Melissa.

How about you pick the charity for whoever loses the sidebet, if someone takes me up on it; that way you at least cover one charity and maybe two. :)

Currently offering £100 at a generous 1/1 on Melissa's side if anyone wants to take Matt? tbh Matt probably a small favourite but just want to anti-rail him. :D

With the 2-0. As in the result over 50 games, with 48 left to play. I think 1/1 is stupid sick value, so I'm only selling action at this price once. Loser pays to winner's charity of choice tho.

Sorry for your loss Melissa. I also had a good mate die from cancer last summer, and my nan also passed away just before christmas as a result. I played a charity golf day in aid of Macmillian, as they helped an enormous amount. Just a suggestion, they were a great charity. Although the 4 rounds of golf in a day for them meant i couldnt walk for weeks!
