Title: Last day of the Prem Post by: Tal on May 19, 2013, 02:35:09 AM Seems reasonable to start a thread on the subject.
Any views on who will finish where, where you see apple carts being upset and, above all, any faint glimmers of hope for us spurs fans? http://sportinglife.aol.co.uk/football/news/article/22882/8721282/ashley-offers-windfall-to-staff Mike Ashley will share out £1million between Newcastle's ancillary staff if the Magpies beat Arsenal on Sunday. Press Association Sport understands club owner Ashley will hand the windfall to non-playing and coaching staff if Alan Pardew's men end a difficult season in style. The Gunners will arrive at St James' Park needing a victory to guarantee a top-four finish with North London rivals Tottenham, who face Sunderland at White Hart Lane, hot on their heels. Newcastle secured their Barclays Premier League status with a 2-1 win at QPR last weekend, but desperately want to end their campaign with three points having lost 3-0 to neighbours Sunderland and 6-0 to Liverpool in their last two home games. The Magpies could yet finish as high as 10th if they beat Arsenal, although even that would fall short of expectations after last season's heroics. But that is the least of my worries. Title: Re: Last day of the Prem Post by: Waz1892 on May 19, 2013, 10:54:28 AM With only the 3rd/4th place to be decided a relative quite day ahead i fear.
Can't remember last time so little was still to be decided to be honest. Consider last years last day.... Pointers - Carra last game (4/1 to score anytime- ::)) and the play-off potential for Arsenal and Chelsea (2-1 win needed / 0-0 respective) 90 day to go until 13/14 ;yippee; ;cheerleader; ;cupcake; Title: Re: Last day of the Prem Post by: Tal on May 19, 2013, 11:00:22 AM There are two playoffs possible actually.
If Arsenal lose 15-0 and Spurs draw 6-6, there's a much bigger playoff for fourth. Title: Re: Last day of the Prem Post by: Young_gun on May 19, 2013, 11:21:45 AM Pretty poor for a final day of the season IMO
The fact most the teams played last Sunday aswell was pretty shocking Rooting for Arsenal, actually think out of the top 4 running Chelsea deserved less then Arsenal and Spurs |
