Well the WSOP is about to start, so some of the luckier people will be heading out in the next couple days, and some possibly are there already. There does seem to be a fair few going from here, so thought I'd start this up.

We've got a thread next door with a spreadsheet listing when everybody is in Vegas, and where they are staying. It's pretty nifty, but I didn't make it myself, so am not going to attempt anything that advanced here.

However, it's easy enough to update an OP if people post their dates/hotel, and if anyone wanted to organise a Blonde meal/night out this might be useful for doing so.


Unfortunately I have a month to wait yet  :'(

14th June until 15th July.  Mirage for first 2 weeks and undecided on the rest.

Confirmed June 1st to June 11th at Aria. But quite likely to stay a lot longer.

17th June - 17th July staying in a rented house 6 mile west of the strip.

10th June-17th July for me staying at the quad playing around a 6k-7k tournament schedule. Playing as many of the Venetian $600 and $500s,s as possible and the Wynn flight tournies along with all the 6 max tournies out there between binions,ceasars palace the golden nuggett and the $580 6max at the rio as 6 max is more fun when live poker can be slow along with playing cash out there. Also plan on playing 1 of the $1080s on the last couple of weeks either the aria 1 or the ceasars palace 1.  Would be great to meet up with a few of yous out there for some beers or whatever.

Playing 1k, 1.5k NLH and 3k PLO8 at WSOP.  Can't decide between 1k big O at Venetian or 3k NLH at WSOP.  Probs just splash around rest of time.

13 June to 27 June Rio and Ballys

17th and 18th June will be in a hotel TBC ... any recommendations ? Prefer to be near the Wynn

I'd look at it the other way tbh.  For staying 30 nights, I would totally get why someone would say it is too expensive.  But as you are in a private house for most of it and only staying 2 nights, is that not a perfect chance to treat yourself?

I'd understand someone saying "it's too expensive - period" - in which case Mirage is $178+RF+tax, TI Marky gave you or as a wildcard, Trump is available for £57.50/night incl tax but not including RF.

Harrahs can be had for $60 + tax + RF on a code also.

I know what you mean but this is all business... Treating myself to 2 nights in a hotel I am only sleeping in for $350 to play a tournament that costs $550 is gonna really eat into my ROI and hourly, and in comparison I'm spending £600 on 30 nights in the house so £200 seems a lot at the start of the trip for 2 nights. Sorry that's just me being a tight nit in my late 20's ;)

If I had to guess I would say 10minutes tops, I wouldn't think it's more than 5 minutes further than the Fashion Show  which is across the bridge from Wynn. I can't see that it's any further than Harrahs, and I'd say it's worth more than the $20 extra!

There's abs nothing wrong with saying that you want to keep X's down (there are diminishing returns from screwing things down below a certain point) so let's rule out Palazzo/Wynn.

Trump, TI and Harrahs are all as near as damn it equi-distant from Wynn.

Harrahs is $107 total - this includes all taxes, resort fees and everything.

TI Marky is quoting as $135, dunno if this was including RF + tax or not. (The rate I can see is $177 all in)

Obv hotels are subjective, but given your remit, if $135 includes RF and tax, then TI for $135 is better value than Harrahs for $107.  If it is $135 + RF + tax, then Harrahs is better value than TI.

Trump is $230 all in, but given your remit, maybe scratch that from the list.

I wouldn't put anyone off staying at TI, I think it's a very good hotel for the $. I also woudl stay at TI every single time if the choice was TI or Harrahs (but my remit is different to yours) But if saving money is king:

TI for $135 >> Harrahs for $107 >> TI for $177.

A Vegas Block is definitely like 2 NY Blocks.  The heat outside is pretty intense, and definitely should not be underestimated.  Vegas virgins (still worth 1.4) forget that they would be in the middle of the Mojave desert if it wasn't for all that neon and concrete - for every group of 6 at least one of them will get sunstroke or be badly dehydrated/shits/etc from not taking on enough water.  You can easily sit at a poker table, drink 10 bottles of ice cold water in quick succession and still not need a piss.

Learning your orientation within hotels is also handy... getting the wrong exit out of Caesars for instance can add 20 mins to your walk alone.

Tbf, your books would definitely sell more

Sorry, I hadn't counted the resort fee last night so you've got another $56 on the rate from last night. I'd probably still book that anyway if it were me, but just have one less '3 for $100' at the Rhino :)

Been in Florida and New York for the past week doing some travelling had an awesome time there.  I am now currently sitting in JFK New York drinking a budlight waiting on my flight to Vegas buzzing for it.  Im going to drop my bags of in my room straight away when i land get a quick shower and get changed and head to the Venetian to play some cash.  My 1st tournamant will be on Monday the $350 Ceasars Palace NLH 6 max tournament.
