I’d like to sell 30% of myself at 1.35 for the ISPT, playing day 1B on Saturday (now Sold Out, below is proposal shrunken down as it's now a bit irrelevant)

I’m certainly not suggesting that I am a better player than Trigg or Keys who sold for a tiny bit less, but I think they undersold themselves somewhat. Tbh I was gonna go higher but didn't want to take the piss after they had offered theirs.

The effect of the overlay, combined with the softness of the field as a result of all the satellites still make this a more than reasonable rate imo.

If we consider the overlay to be a part of the prizepool, then looking at different scenarios:


500 runners
€1.35m + €0.73 overlay = €2.08m, €2.08m/500 = €4160, so effectively playing a €4160+rake tourney for €2700+rake
3645/4160 = 0.88

750 runners
€2.025m + €0.595 overlay = €2.62m, €2.62m/750 = €3493
3645/3493 = 1.04

1000 runners
€2.7m + €0.46 overlay = €3.16m, €3.16m/1000 = €3160
3645/3160 = 1.15

1250 runners
€3.375m + €0.325 overlay = €3.7m, €3.7m/1250 = €2960
3645/2960 = 1.23

(€3645 is the mark-up I am charging on the €2700 buy-in, therefore ignoring rake, otherwise these calcs don’t make sense)


I hope my workings are ~right there! Obviously don't want to create any anti-funk for DTD as I really want this to go as well as possible for them.

Confidence/morale are pretty high after I finished 3rd in the Monte Carlo last month. I realise one 3rd place does not a good player make, but there is something that can be said for confidence in poker.

This comp is slightly different than most as it is really a 10x buyin to day 2 of a €300, opening up the remote possibility that by selling with markup I could end up in profit from a result in which investors lost money.  To negate this possibility, any cashes for less than the buyin I will refund with markup, i.e. if you buy 10% you will have 13.5% of any cashes up to the buyin and 10% of any profit above that.

Guy (outragous76) on my direct left. Seat 2 is a DTD reg, don't know anyone else.

Not the best start. 42k atm. Won chips early with 66 on 688, then lost them bk on 9235 board where I had TT but the table spot turned a set. Have not won a notable hand since then. Every open and/or peel I've made has resulted in me missing the flop. Quite annoying but obviously we have rather a lot of play still.

Table isn't great with Guy, a good Portuguese player, 5 lolregs, although there is one huge spot who is currently running like God.

Got up to 60k with AA. Lost a couple of small unavoidable pots then get 3b jammed on at 250/500 for 10k by SB when we open +1 with AK. He has 44, we flop an ace but he rivers a flush, sigh.

Oioi, 80k. Full double on K9x two spades vs whale in 3b pot with AKhh vs KQcc.

Things went downhill from double up. A couple of hands aside not really my day but managed to hang in and finish day with 40,200

Didn't give you guys the best sweat in the world but I certainly grinded away.

The story of my tournament seemed to be building up to get knocked back down. i seemed to build up 70 or 80k a few times, including doubling 40k-->80k twice with 85% or more equity, but just wasn't able to get anything going, basically couldn't win a hand whenever I had decent chips and kept getting knocked back to ~40k and had to go back into grind mode.

We bust after 3 bet shipping a couple of times at 1200/2400 and getting folds to give us 55k. We then opened TT UTG from 55k at 1500/3000. I picked up a mid-position peeler who we presumed decent from a short spell on the table, and decided to bet/bet an A93K board. Although my turn bet is questionable it felt like he couldn't have much beyond AQ and 99 that could continue that wouldn't fold or 3b/gii pre-flop. But he put us in on the turn so we fold leaving us with 30-35k. Obviously I'm going to play ~perfect with a 10bb stack and the next opportunity I had to get it in was with 20k at 2000/4000 (500) with K5 in the big blind vs villain from TT hand who opened the HJ. Didn't seem likely I'd get a better spot, although it was thin obviously. Villain had A8 and held.

So we cashed for £771. It actually only cost me £2566, not £2600, to buy-in via the lobby. Everyone had already shipped so doing all the admin for £1.16 seemed pointless, but I may as well add it on to what I owe you back.

So with Keys provision:
£771 *1.346 = £1037.76

therefore 2.5% = £25.94 + £1.16 = £27.10

Obviously wish our ROI had been somewhat higher, but if you can please let me know how to ship back to you then I shall asap (have sent back to those who shipped to me on Stars)
