Title: JT on JJ6ss
Post by: Flash92 on June 01, 2013, 07:39:01 PM
UTG is huge nit, running like 12/10. not seem too much of him. SB is huge fish, running like 85/2. leading a lot of flops, been showed smalled weak pairs and draws.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed)

SB ($2.43)
Hero (BB) ($37.78)
UTG ($12.36)
MP ($17.65)
Button ($25.18)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J(http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerforum/images/smilies/club.gif), 10(http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerforum/images/smilies/club.gif)
UTG bets $0.30, MP calls $0.30, Button calls $0.30, SB calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.20

Flop: ($1.60) J(http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerforum/images/smilies/heart.gif), 6(http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerforum/images/smilies/spade.gif), J(http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerforum/images/smilies/spade.gif) (5 players)
SB bets $2.11 (All-In), Hero calls $2.11, UTG raises to $4.22, 2 folds, HERO FOLDS AND FEELS LIKE A GIANT NIT?

WWYD?

Never folding, I'm probably flatting as a jam might let him get away from his overpairs.

if he's 12/10 then his UTG opens must be super tight, as far as J's go, he has  Ad Jd,  Jd Kd,  Qd Jd (does he even open KJ and QJs 100%?) I guess he has Jd Td as well, and prolly 66 - he also has  the 8 AA's, the 8 KK's, the 8 QQ's (your call looks like a smaller pair + the SB range is huge + weak. So really we're thinking about 4 combo's of JX, 2 combo's of 66 (and I don't think he opens all the JX's all the time) so given the action, how your range is perceived, how under-repped your hand is and the basic combinatoric's of the UTG range folding seems a big mistake.

I think calling and c/c the turn/ bet river if he checks is the way to go here.
