its the warmup, guy inbetween is unknown

Depends on our stats, his stats, history with reg?  Also by defend do you mean call, 4b or both?

This is a difficult one, but as this is pre ante it would be a pretty tight range for me.

no dynamic, its really early, blinds jsut 60, 120, no dynamic at all.

im probably opening a2-a5s, atsplsu,, all suited broadwas, kqo, ajoplus, all sutied connectors

Im pretty much in the tight is right early camp with a few curve balls thrown in.  There's no reason not to defend anything that you're opening as long as you keep in mind what range of hands opp is 3b'ing and have a good feel for where you are in the hand post flop.  Personally I like to save the funky stuff for later in the tournament and play a lot of ABC stuff pre ante.

We're getting > 20-1 implied odds i think, and while the guy behind you is trapping with hands he's planning on 4betting some of the time, it's not that often given his stack size imo, and that we can some of his stack towards our implied odds more than makes up for it, so we can definitely call with all our pocket pairs.

I'd rather call with 89s than QJs, but I'd probably call with both I expect.
