Title: Vegas Travel Deals
Post by: theprawnidentity on June 03, 2013, 03:47:33 PM
Just wondering how much guys who are going are paying to get out there?  I just found a late deal for flights leaving on Wednesday for £580 return.

Anyone know of any good places to get really cheap deals for flights / accomodation?

Thanks in advance.

There's a thread in the rail section that's a good place to look.

Flight looks pretty cheap, but it's easy enough to check the prices on www.skyscanner.net (http://www.skyscanner.net) and see if it's the best price.

I'd strongly suggest going direct if you can. I went direct, and spoke to some guys in Vegas who didn't and said despite saving money it's a pain in the arse. I guess even more so now it is taking longer to get through at the airports.

If you are so inclined, you should consider taking a layover. Last year I paid like £520 return, 3 hour layover (total journey time 16 hours? i think, or thereabouts), on the way back I managed to get a 12-hour layover in toronto which was long enough to go see niagara falls.

If you're from the midlands up, you can fly from Manchester on a Wednesday with Thomas Cook for £550*

*Not sure if there are any extra costs with that flight

Other than that you have  1stops from 650up and Virgin is 815.

La is often significantly cheaper to fly to. I have flown air nz there twice and then hired a car/ got a domestic flight to Vegas. You could stop over for a few days do tourist stuff or grind the joke soft games at the hell hole that is the commerce.

Air nz is pretty good IMO, pretty new planes good entertainment system and reasonable food.

Thanks for your reply, I will look into that.  If the commerce is a hell hole then I would be probably more suited to it than Vegas anyway!!!
