Its not a train that is pulled up hill by a cable is it? Title: Re: StacPollaidh Post by: tikay on June 21, 2005, 02:10:50 PM NO. You are thinking of a funicular. And it's not a train. It's a sort of bus on rails. You wormed those pigs yet? I tried it on the cats, but the designated orifice is very small. Title: Re: StacPollaidh Post by: AlrightJack on June 21, 2005, 04:51:03 PM Its a mountain in Sutherland the north west of Scotland and there is also a restaurant of the dame name in Edinburgh. Its pronounced 'stacpolly'. There are other mountains in the same region that have become famous for having successful race horses named after them - arkle, foinavon. Its a lovely part of the country. No poker up there but great walking and scenery. If anyone fancies a holiday there let me know, my parents own a holiday home up that way. Rent free to friends who will treat it well.
