I guess all the information is there, but it's all in the wrong order.  The first thing to tell me is that there is a poker tournament being held at Old Trafford. It's a 250 quid buy in. It's a two day event on the 9th and 10th August, Friday start .Your not saying what the juice is, although there is something about a £20 donation to some charity. There isn't a guarantee. It's not clear why this tourney is happening is it part of a series? Just a one off and if so why? We aren't playing on the pitch.

That's the basic information that needs to be in the first two paragraphs.

Instead the thread title is Road to old Trafford (there is no road, unless you mean the sattys), followed by a load of rubbish about a hotel and a nightclub I don't care about. Then the same paragraph again. Then I have to fish the dates out of the second post on the schedule.

I know this sounds like Skippy the moaning arsehole, but I'm trying to be constructive. Having gone to the trouble of extracting the information I now realise this is something I would be very much interested in, but us lazy poker players won't bother to work out what's going on, which seems like a shame.

Sats don't run :(

I know most man u fans don't live in Manchester but would there be any sats for seat only ?

For the sats, I am not sure about field sizes demand on Party Poker (after all it is their event run by DTD) but I would expect some interest especially nearer the time on DTD. Poker players notorious for doing these sort of things late.

Yes we have a lot on at the moment I guess and players concentrate on the events which are closer and the Golden Chips as there is the risk of them running out.

These will pick up, we have had lots of interest for them. If you wish to play the sats make sure you register early as it attracts more players, if it looks like it won't run players don't bother registering.

There aren't plans to at the moment, but they will be announced on here if we do. We think there will be more interest in the package through as our player base is predominantly Nottingham / East midlands based

What's the plans here.  I've got two tokens into the £38.50 daily sats, but we've had 7 days so far, and not one of them has run.

They need 10 players just to start, and 19 runners to cover the package.  Doesn't seem to make much sense for DTD, as if they do start, there is likely to be an overlay.

Even the £5 feeders aren't running.

Can I just cash out the tokens, and I'll just buyin direct ?  The VIP package is not really worth it, I just want to play the event, but would rather reg via DTD than PP.

Yes I know the 8pm satellites haven't been running :( We are definitely going to review the satellites for the Old Trafford event, and a lot of players have requested £250 buy in only satellites.

Your tokens are still valid and we'll make sure there is something for you to play and ensure it runs ;)

Great effort to drum up the interest Nicola.  It is appreciated, even if it appears to be falling on deaf ears.

I can understand that.  I'd want to play a poker event if it was at Anfield, The Emirates, St James Park.  Football loyalties can be put on the back burner for a couple of days, but clearly not everyone feels that way.  Which is a shame for the event and DTD.

Yeah it is a shame if players are put off based on their football preferences, but how good would it be to say you went to Old Trafford and won...not many football fans can say that ;)

Ive only just really read this thread - and it seems that sattys aren't taking off?

I know its not a DTD run thing, but if I can be blunt and point out the obvious, poker players tend not to want a package where 1/3 of the cost is the buy in. ie, they want as little in "extras" as possible. People will look at the cost of staying elsewhere in Manchester and just think that they will play sattys to the event only games and not the VIP package
