Title: Deep in WSOP
Post by: pleno1 on June 25, 2013, 06:14:30 PM
Day 2 o WSOP were in last 120 of 2300.

Villain is 'thatnerdguy' on stars. Brazilian grinder.

He's played 11/13 pots so far as we've played 1 where we raised ad won pre flop.

Cut off opens off 50k to 2650
Thatnerdguy peels btn off over 100k
Sb passive fish peels off 45
We call in bb with ace ten of hearts.

Flop is

10c 6d 2d

Co bets 4100
Btn makes it 10700
Sb folds

We started hand with 29k.

Wug?

Assuming 6/12/200 jamming pre and going with it here (35% stack in middle?), something silly like 18800 for the small difference

Is raise better than the jam? How often will the original raiser call a jam with worse? If just looking to pick up the pot, why isn't a smaller raise when playing 25BB more efficient?

It's an awkward stack size (in plain English, I find these situations really tough), but the call seems like the worst of the options OOP.

How would you have played if it came QT6dd?

As played, what reason would we have for thinking we were behind on such a damp board? You've called OOP with AT, flopped TPTK and the button has raised the c-bet. Shove seems natural now.

Am I under thinking?

Think I always jam this pre with the callers.  Loose opener plus 2 callers looks as good a spot as you could hope for.  Now it feels messy, but think you should still go for it.  What flop do we want when we call?

feels like you have to continue with this hand somehow...

Jam better than small-raise/call imo

Agreed did post similar earlier but internet sfakjkl up :)

IMO its Jam>Fold dont think im ever min raising or calling in this spot ever just invites trouble and makes our hand difficult on most turns

The button guy with large stack opening 11/13 hands raises continuation bet of a fairly standard size? Seems simple ship to me
