Title: Reg fees for ME tourney and satellite to ME different, views?
Post by: aaron1867 on July 05, 2013, 06:35:23 AM
The reg fee for a particular tourney is 10%, it's £1k+£100.

But they are holding sats too. One particular sat is £50+£8 and its a debut with a guarantee on amount of seats, just wondering how it works with ME just being 10% juice?

Not sure what you mean by debut in that context. Typo?

Don't get the question here, prize pool equals £1,100 times number of seats if all the fiddys beat guarantee then more seats. The sat can have lower juice as it runs for less time and is cheaper to run! Had an argument with folk complaining bout £10 reg for Grand Prix! The mind boggles, same people pay £5 reg for a £50 one day self deal and complain about a fantastic competition dealer dealt for two days charging a £5 spot more! I feel for rob and Simon sometimes!

Yeah rebuy, spellcheck wins again

My point is that if juice for the actual main is 10%, then why is juice a lot bigger for a sat?

It isn't. £8<£100.  It is only a bigger percentage for complete nits who don't rebuy or add on, and who cares about them?

Because there are fixed costs for delivering any tournament (staff wages etc.) and £5 (10%) is probably not enough to cover those costs.  Assuming this is a live tournament of course.
