Title: 1/2 Live in Sheffield
Post by: deejaypee on July 24, 2013, 10:42:54 PM
Hero  Ts 7s  (£183)
Villain  8c 9h (£250)

co raises to 7
villain on btn calls
Hero sb call
bb folds

Flop   Tc Kh 7h

I donk lead for £15, co calls, villain min raises to £30, I call, co folds.

Turn   4d

I check, villain leads for £50 and I shove £145, he tanks for 2 mins then calls.

Flop   Jc (obv)

villain scoops.

I don't play cash to often, and would like some feed back on the hand. Should I just flat the turn or is shoving the turn right. I knew I was in front as he was a pretty loose/erratic player.

Not much of a question here. Just fade the river! I'd fold preflop though. Would probably fold t8 too less than 100bb deep. 140ish and might play t8 but it depends on villains in the hand.

I can see your point (fold pre). but villian was playing very loose  and any two cards. But looking back now, folding pre should've been my move.

Fold pre, even more so for that reason ^^

3 bet/ get in flop way played, so many turn cards kill your action. Once we get to turn, I would lead again.

never been a more misleading expression than "Any Two Cards" imo

I've played with 3 people in Sheffield I'd describe as any two card players. Its definitely possible.

Against the sort of person playing any two cards, we wanna be looking to play big cards that easily dominate the range of hands they're playing. The suited connectors play much better against the tighter players, because often the boards that we hit, they miss.

Once we decide to play this hand, I think we play it fine. Just get lucky/don't get unlucky, it really is the key to poker :p

On the note of not playing this sort of hand pre, have a video. This is actually gold.
