Title: HEEEEEEEEELP!!!! Smartphone meltdown Post by: jjandellis on August 01, 2013, 09:46:18 PM Samsung S2
Anyway was working normal, then went for run around with my kids. Got back and screen locked. Nothing unusual there. Tried to open up - doesn't recognise my pin. Tried > 50 times. I have tried: a. Battery & sim out restart. 2. Restart no sim. 3. Restart no battery (only joking!) 4. Phoning mobile and accessing menu whilst on call (doesn't allow me, need pin) 5. Using wrong number 'emergency call' trick, followed by back arrow. 6. Won't even allow me to hold power and volume up/down for reset. I'm gutted I'm most likely going to lose 2 years worth of photos and videos of my kids. Anyone got any suggestions please? Would rather not lose data....<sigh> Title: Re: HEEEEEEEEELP!!!! At least all your contacts are synced to Gmail, so you haven't lost them. Is the pin that you don't know for the sim card or the phone? When I boot my phone I have the sim protected by a pin, and then the phone protected (using a pattern, but a pin is also an option). Which one is the stumbling block for you? |
