Title: blonde Marketplace
Post by: TightEnd on August 15, 2013, 08:58:31 AM
Following a request

A buy/sell thread, for goods etc etc

Note

- blonde is facilitiating the thread, it will not get involved in disputes or grims
- If you are transacting with a fellow member, its buyer/seller beware. If you do not know the poster, do your own research. Positive and negative feedback on here is fine
- Not for commercial sellers (ie no links to your own online store), this is more for one off items
- We will introduce a minimum post count if this becomes swamped by new posters just here to sell
- We can move things to a Marketplace board if it takes off and we decide we need seperate threads per item

Not allowed

- As well as the usual illegal stuff

Anything offering or selling the following will be removed (basically anything where a purchaser buys a licence/activation code as a single user, and where selling on here contravenes those licences)

Software licenses, e-book activation codes, video game activation keys, video game service accounts like Xbox Live, Steam, etc.

Hold'em Manager, PokerTracker and similar programs.

Training Site Subscriptions.

Poker hand databases and/or datamining services.

iPhone 4 for sale. Just over a year old not been used in two months. On O2 (I'm not sure about unlocking these things) 1 previous owner will edit this post when I get home and add a picture. Comes with box and I will check what bits I have for it.

Looking for around £130 open to offers or the highest bidder! If its not worth that please feel free to tell me. It's not worth selling it for me for much less just in case my phone breaks now.

(Thanks for starting the thread tighty that phones been sat on the side for 2 months and I keep thinking I really should sell it)

I sometimes put the odd thing on eBay, would a link to the item be ok?

I think so

As you can tell, we are feeling our way with this

The opinion has been expressed that a seperate board would be better, with a seperate thread per item.

That is a possibility if people want it.

I like the idea of a board solely because I worry that items can get lost in one big thread.

See bets in TfT for example.

Prime example of how leaving this as one long thread will really defeat the purpose of being beneficial.

Wildfire S unlock is a fiver or less on Ebay, more or less instant.

You'll probably get much more for your phone on there if it's unlocked and sold as Buy It Now (fifty/sixty quid inc)

OK book sale time.
I've done all the work I plan on doing by cataloging them, so this isn't going to involve me driving to the post office book by book.  Pretty much only available as an all-or-nothing purchase, you will be collecting, or arranging to meet somewhere mutually convenient.  The vast majority are in A1 condition, the odd book was 2nd hand and therefore more variable condition.

Price is pretty flexible, if you want to convince me of some charitable beneficiary or other that is going to benefit then fire away.

I understand the Post Office hassle, total pain.
If I was sending that lot, personally, I just put them all in a big box, stuff newspaper into the voids, wrap up well with tape, put the details into myhermes.co.uk, with a note 'its in the shed', put their label on it, put it in the shed, and that's it. For about 5 quid. Less hassle than any other option. And they're reliable.

I would like to put myself forward for the books. I am a budding professional online poker player
ie I have had neither a square meal nor any meaningful social interaction in over a fortnight so your offer sounds amazing and I will not tell any poker stories until the second bottle of wine.

You may have misinterpreted my offer.... I provide the books, you can either suggest a purchase price or a restaurant to invite me to!

Ok, thanks. Thought this was the 'Steaking' they were going on about in my home game, I guess I won't be needing the makeup either.

Nintendo DS Lite in Jet black for sale. Item is brand new- I got it from an insurance company 18 months ago after I was burgled.

I sold it on eBay but the chap returned it because it said on the box "For sale in Macau/HK only" which is a joke as it's the same power socket! Don't ask me how the insurance company got ahold of it but I've never used the thing and I want rid of it!

£65 or $100 payable by BT or stars is fine also. Delivery included in price.

£50 (think that's ~ £1 a book) for the lot.  Live in St Albans, would drive to Luton/London to play a comp or have dinner and swap also.

Ok I would like them please, I've just asked my selfish brother to let me have the car back but he needs it today. I might be able to persuade my friend to play a Luton comp on Friday/Saturday, or borrow a car and come straight to where u live?

If u sell them before hand I understand and it's not a problem, I wouldn't want u to miss out if I can't guarantee when I can get transport to get there.

If u drove to my house id cook you a fillet steak tho :P haha x

PX90 Workout 12 DVD set, virtually brand new. Want £45 for it including P+P within the uk (new price is about £100)

Its a pretty tough workout and for those that are already fit (ish), the reason I'm selling it is it was too hard for me even when I was doing a fair bit of exercise lol.

This is their site for more info.

Was trying to ebay it to get the best price but the makers of this are being real bitches and complain about anyone who lists second hand ones saying it might not be genuine, hence ebay pull it. Without jumping through about 20 hoops there is little I can do, its not even allowed to be listed on amazon as a second hand item. I guess they are quite effective at keeping second hand versions off the market so they can sell more at full price, twats lol.

i always found selling dvds on ebay pointless, after packaging and sorting all the bullshit out you end up with like 50p.. I gave all mine (about 500) last year to a charity shop who thought I had stolen them or something lol.

True enough, but I don't pay for postage for those so I'm getting £2-4 for most which is better than a kick in the nuts  ;)

Any thing bigger than that I have to pay though.

Also found this site for good deals on shippage if anyone sells anything on this thread. A lot better than royal mail in many cases for stuff that is a bit bigger.
