What do you think my prospects are?" – Iain Naylor" Have a read and enjoy. This is a friend of mine and is a trainee solicitor at the same firm as me. Post by: DingleBelle on August 20, 2013, 09:49:28 PM Like how he got the cc in at the bottom! Reminds me of when I was 8 or 9 and I wrote to Man Utd asking for a trial. Ron Atkinson was then the manager. I seem to remember a line in there that said I played for Thornton-Cleveleys U9's and how we had never won a game, with our worst defeat being 33 - 0. But that wasn't my fault as I was a sub... Dunno why I wasn't snapped up. Still I did get a really nice letter back from Mick Brown the assistant manager - along with a really cool poster and some other bits and bobs. Did they really? That is so cool. Somehow I can't imagine the big clubs these days doing the same thing. That may, of course, be a massive and irrational generalisation! B |
