Title: 5p/10p home game with friends
Post by: polerization on September 04, 2013, 02:19:06 AM
This hand really tilted me just wanted to know anyones view on the hand:
Playing 4 handed, open  8h 6h on the button to 0.35p , villain is in the sb and calls the flop comes  Td 7h 4h he checks i bet and 0.50p he calls the turn is the  Th and i bet £1.20 he calls i put him on a 10 at this point as this is exactly how he'd play this the river comes an offsuit  Qc, he checks to me and with my previous thinking i bet £4 pretty sure he'd call this off with a 10, he basically snap reshoves for like £23 i'm playing like £25 so didn't really matter i eventually call after deciding that he had the 10 previous i hte this call so much and i'm never ahead and after the heat of the moment i realized this he showed QQ, I could have played this much better on the river obviously betting smaller or not calling the shove. Is their anything else anyone would suggest? and is the £4 on the river way to thin a value bet?

Yeah if the game isnt ridiculously splashy and the guy isn't just going to be going nuts here much then the call isn't great (some people can literally just have boats here, some crazy games you might get people jamming their Tx here. V.unlikely though).

No it's not very thin, i'd happily be betting for value with a bunch of Tx hands, flushes and boats. Seems like the pot is about £4 at this point, so i'd bet less than you did, maybe £2.50 or £3. It's unlikely he'll raise anything worse, but can call with loads of worse hands.

okay just settled a little argument about the river bet haha, and i know the call is terrible was just frustration :)

Play the same, apart from folding to the jam...

He just has better flushes and boats 100% of the time.
