Hello everyone!

For my first venture into the staking boards, I will be selling a package including two bullets at the DTD 300 deepstack taking place this weekend and two bullets at the Gps Stoke taking place next week.

The numbers - Two bullets at the deepstack works out as (336*2) + two bullets at the gps at (440*2) = £1552. I will be selling 50% of this package at face value, so I will be looking to shift a grand total of £776 to the good people of Blonde.

1% is £15.52
5% is £77.60
10% is £155.20

The horse - My name is Matt Harris, I'm 20 years old, and I have been a semi-professional poker player for about a year now. I am almost entirely a live player, and as such I'm a regular in Nottingham cash games up to 1/2 and travel around to many of the bigger tournaments that fit within my bankroll. As stated above, I will be selling with absolutely no mark up for this package. This is NOT because I don't feel like I have an edge in the field or any of that sort of thing. I do feel like I'm worth a mark up, but I also feel like you shouldn't feel that I am. I'm still very new to the poker scene, and a one time second place does not, in my mind, make me proven enough to expect people to buy at a mark up. I go into a little more detail on this subject on my diary, for anyone interested further.

I will of course refund any bullets not taken, and will not be taking two bullets at a tournament on the same day. Payment can be done through Stars or through bank transfer, or in person should that be easier.

We've already hit and run our first table to the tune of 875. Poor etiquette from the floor man I feel...

Now out of position to Fred wise, marv. Fortunately hes busy laughing at stato "doing his brains" at ofc.

We have made the second break with pizza, a red bull and about 40k. Table is rapidly becoming very good fun.

Doubled AA to QQ then lost some with JJ on 885 where we ended up folding the flop, and AA eventually winning the hand. 70k or so.

We are currently getting raised and re-raised an awful lot, and struggling to have the best of it. Just fallen below 60k.

Currently hemorrhaging chips with a lot of second best hands. 50k.

Chipped up a little, been a whirlwind day. Just under 60k at the third break

We now have about 85k after finding AA again and getting it in vs J8 on 853.

Up to a little over 130 I think, after finding 10/10, flopping a set on J108 and holding vs QJ, getting it in on the turn and making quad 10s on the river. The seat is very quickly filled by Mitch "ocho ocho" Johnson. This could be fun.

Will do a report on the day tomorrow when I'm awake enough that I can see straight, but the long and short of it is we have made day 2 with 214,500 worth of multi coloured betting discs, which is a little over 70bbs. As such, we shall not be playing tomorrow, which means we have only taken one bullet at this tournament and will duly refund the team for that bullet (£3.36 per % I believe).

THE REPORT

We won hands.

Got it in pretty early on in the day when we found AA on the button, which is always nice, and held vs QQ, which is always nicer. We then entered a very frustrating few hours where we attempted to play poker, but it didn't go so well. Went from 75k or so right down to the 40's, before winning a big one when we squeezed to quite a lot and got a c-bet through two callers. I'd probably say this was the pivotal moment in the tournament, if we lose this hand then we aren't in great shape, but we had a nice bit of run good in that we hit the board enough to be able to call a shove and legitimately c-bet, and more importantly that noone hit enough of the board to continue in the hand. This frustrating period ended with a few key hands, where we win with 10/10 on 8/10/J / 3 when we get it in on the turn vs QJ and hold for a big one to take us to the 90k mark. We then in fairly quick succession bust a cash game reg from sheffield with AA to J8 on 784, and then bust the one and only Fred Wise with 55 vs A10 AIPF.

We continued to chip up nicely after this, winning quite a few pots uncontested and building up to 150k or so, before finding QQ and getting it in vs a flush draw on J/8/4. Conveniently, we hold once more, and shortly after this we break the 200k mark. In all, we have yet to be all in for our tournament life, and have had our big hands hold up when we've needed them too. Hopefully the (relatively) smooth sailing continues tomorrow, so my first staking thread can start with success. GL us!

Just knocked out Tim for the second time, this time with my JJ into his A10. 190k.

So, the deepstack ended disappointingly (i.e. we did not come first). We did however show a profit, cashing for a grand total of £950. For those interested, our exit hand was unfortunately one of those dull and fairly standard bleurgh QQ vs KK type things, where we started with the worst of it and ended in the same position. This culminated in a bust out in 40th place. Stoke next week, lets run good and win money people!

Tried to get the updates going today, but unfortunately couldnt get an internet connection. Basically, we bust out at the end of level 8 getting 15bbs in over a raise with AJ, and the sb found AQ. The whole day was a hell of a struggle, we reached a low point of 8k and a high point of a little under 60. A couple of key hands included having Q5 (checked out option on the bb, before anyone says anything) 5 ways to the flop on a Q/5/9/10/K run out, losing with QQ on a KQ75x run out, with the first 4 cards being diamonds, and effectively putting someone all in when I felt like they couldn't have a good hand, and they didn't really, but shoved regardless. Pretty disheartened tbh, my last few exploits into the GPS series have been a pretty endless story of bad run outs, bad spots and good hands that weren't quite good enough. Either way, attempt no. 2 tomorrow, gl us!

Just got nearly a double up with 10/10 on a 7/7/5/7/4 run out vs a bluff. On about 60k.

GPS was going very well until a minute ago, when I flopped a set and my joke run bad with sets continued as the guy turned his gutshot to make the nuts on a 4789Q run out. Lost the minimum I reckon, down now to just shy of 50k. Pretty frustrating, sets just seem to be rubbish hands for me.

Back up to the 70k mark following a couple of good hands. Table has changed dramatically with 4 new arrivals in the space of a few minutes. Feel like I'm playing a lot better than yesterday, feel like I've made good decisions in all but one hand today.

Approaching 100k going into the last level of the day. Made a fairly crazy hero call for a pretty big pot, followed by a fairly crazy hero fold for what could have been a bigger pot. Instinct has been spot on today after it was a long way off yesterday. Well, mostly...

Day two!!!! Made it with 87,600, which is a little over average. Good times :)

Basically, over the last few days I've been trying to sort out the bank transfer payments. It appears I do not have internet banking, and for some reason am unable to activate it, since the letters received yesterday with the relevant information for activating it seem not to work. I'm afraid this means that I won't be able to get your payment to you until monday, unless you can provide an alternative means of me paying you. I am extremely sorry for this delay, I was hoping to pay everyone out on the same day at the same time, but I will get the stars money to everyone now, the cash in hand to everyone over the weekend, and the bank transfer on monday.

Change of plan, my mum has been very useful and is sorting it with me now, so you will get the money from her account ASAP.
