Post by: Steve86 on September 11, 2013, 12:45:25 AM
Villain has $2700, I cover.

6 handed utg raises $30, vilaain calls I call in bb with  Aspades Td Th Jh Jd

Flop  Ac Kd Qd
x x villain bets $65, hero raises $260, fold, call.
Turn  Tc
hero bets $550, villain raises $2265, hero??? :(
Can we ever fold here? Do we ever check call the turn?

We have a bunch of redraws, presuming the last card is irrelevant, I still don't see how we can consider folding.

You have to think what villain is shoving with here? Our redraws could be dominated...

We have a decent amount of chips in the middle. Its impossible to calculate as because as far as I know we need all 6 cards to give him top set and 2 nut flush draws. Even then we have so many chips in the middle and 3 outs + all the bricks. It feels somewhat likely at least some pairsups are live, after all if he had nut everything why wouldn't he be getting it in on the flop.

not folding, not loving it but our hand is a bit too strong to be binned

Turn could be a belter if he never had the straight before it but had top set and nfd. Medium back door flushes seem to win these a lot. At lower stakes of course.

just go all in, nice spot - you'll be a favorite here most of the time imo, even if you're not you block most of the bad river cards AKKQJT with nut diamonds and king high clubs then FYL but your hands pretty big as well.

Never folding but likely dominated in both flush draws on the turn.
I'd probably flat the flop and peel one off with some good equity, rather than risk getting re-potted and being against dominated re-draws.
While our hands strong we're folding to most pair ups and hating this turn card in particular.

Seems pretty likely for him to have Ad xd  Kc Kh Xc type hands.

Did the turn go Check, bet, raise? as the villain opened on the flop right??

You can't flat the turn we are first to act...

Chippy man I don't know what you're on about there.

Dave do you ever check call the turn? He had aaj 9 high clubs 4 clubs on river. What you gonna do

Forgot to add that villain is Kmonti - he is one of the better 6 card players, really solid

Apologies *edit* i meant to say flat the flop.

I can only assume that it went check, bet raise?

I just like to keep some form of pot control when you're this deep, especially if you regard the villain as one of the best 6 card PLO players.

What range are you assigning the villain when he's leading the flop considering your hole cards?

What do you do if he repots the flop? it's essentially the same decision as getting it in on the turn. Therefore i'd prefer to play down the streets and flat the flop.

I mean I think you've played the hand fine, I think leading the flop or c/c  might be better than c/r Obviously get it in on this turn card though because we're going to have to put a lot of money in this pot vs the super monster hands he has anyways after we've check/raised the flop, so by playing the hand fast from the turn we can punish the weakest hands he has as well. it's only really clubs and K's we hate OTR, the Ad obviously we love, J's and T's make us quads I think we can be entitled to feel our diamonds will be live a fair amount. We have 3 clean nut outs and obviously plenty of bricks we'll prolly split on.

Gotta play it hard imo, the riverr hard to play otherwise - are we shipping diamond rivers? might make some bad folds and fold chops which in a big pot would be really disastrous.

Only 10's make us Quads? Any other board pairup we're hating aside from the  Ts.
As said never folding the turn but C/C the flop could have let us make some better decisions on the turn.

What was villains hand in the End??
What was the river??
