Title: good hand, short handed
Post by: jgcblack on September 13, 2013, 05:22:07 PM
Hey...

this is a live game, £1/2 shorthanded (4/5) and we cover everyone.

Limp, fold, limp and action on us in BB with a good hand (10's+/ AK) we make it 12 total and get two callers.

FLOP
852 rainbow

check, I bet 15 (small granted but one has 120, other 180~ : I.e. can still get it in by river)
Fold behind and then a raise to 45......

this guy is a middle eastern/ turkish gent, 45+ and weve played hu for an hour or so prior to the game starting.  In that time we had very few big pots, only real one was me stacking him on 773hh 4o 9o with 97o.  I cr, bet, shove and he tanked for a while...

I know he has been a little frustrated by me, but we have been enjoying a lot of chat and its been very pleasant.  I don't expect a complete J3o takeoff here, but its tough to have value.

I expect to be ahead most of the time, but don't see much value from 3bt-ing flop.

TURN
7hh

he snap shoves for 150ish....

wwyday???

With our range what do we do with the different parts??

Call with everything but AK

edit: But my read is that you had AK and called from the op

Pretty obvious call with overpairs, pretty obvious fold with ace high. 12 pre seems fine this deep.

12 is fine but more if they let you get away with it. concur with alex/stato.

AK defo a fold, can actually be in horrible shape because people  can do this with A8/K8 etc for no real reason, so we fold AK and stackem with our over pairs.
