Title: MTT Turn Action - Give it up or Jam it in?
Post by: T_Mar on September 14, 2013, 10:07:58 AM
Couple off the bubble in 10r on Sky, dont know much about villain other than he is small stakes loser on site

6Max

Hero: 47000
Villian: 103000

Hero (sb) 500  (47000)
player (bb) 1000 (50000)

Hero dealt Ac Kc

Villian (button): raises 3000
Hero (sb): raises 9100
Player (bb): folds

Flop: 9h 2c Qc  (19200)

Hero: bets 13335
Villian: calls 13335

Turn: 9h 2c Qc Qh (45870)

Hero:  ??

I have 25k left.... Give it up? Shove? He has q's in his range but pot is so big not sure if its just sigh shove it in

Thoughts on flop cbet? Plan was to bet/call it off, hence went little bigger but hating life now, maybe c/r is better as means can get all in on flop
and if he checks behind i get free card and pot doesn't get out of control?!

Any other thought?

Ta

It would definitely be a check-raise all in on the flop for me. As you say, if he checks behind its still pretty good for you, esp if villian happains to have clubs. As it is you have pot committed yourself then given yourself a reason to maybe fold.
If you jam the turn you are prob only going to be called by a hand that you are in very bad shape against, however you could still fold out some hands which could go on to outdraw you on the river. Your AK could well still be ahead. so, It's a JAM now for me.
