Title: Premiership Shirt Sponsors
Post by: 77dave on September 16, 2013, 01:34:37 AM
I except that the EPL is a global brand and a lot of money is brought in through overseas business, but i have never heard of half these companies.

Without any cheating can we name all 20 shirt sponsors and what the company does.

ill start with

Liverpool    Standard Chartered  Banking.

It's weird, I was thinking about this tonight whilst watching Southampton. They look like they are sponsored by gap, but I'm sure that's not right.

I know who Man U are sponsored by but don't know what they do.

Chelsea Samsung

Arsenal emirates

Man c etihad.

Stoke 365?

Yes about the only positive thing about b365 and Stoke FC is that Peter Coates keeps the headquarters in Stoke to help local the local community instead of moving abroad to a tax-haven.

Everton - Chang - Thai beer

The majority of people watching the EPL live in Asia so i really don't understand why a few companies who have no presence in Asia at all would sponsor a team??

Sorry forgot to add what they do

Chang do beer
Gac is shipping I think
And cash converters buy people's junk off them for cash as loan and can buy it back within 30 days for more than they got

im not doubting where the market place is or how some of these companies make their money, just highlighting how low some of the profiles are in the UK.

Might be interesting to compare against championship teams and the money they pay per year to be on the shirts.

Tottenham Hewlett Packard.

Spurs are HP for league games and AIA for cup games.

Think many lower league clubs struggle to get shirt sponsorship and there will be difference between the big clubs in premiership and lower end teams never mind the championship

Lol just double check, apparently Bidvest isn't gambling/spread betting/day trading:

The BFS Group is a food distribution business which trades under the 3663 name, and is the UK arm of huge South African conglomerate Bidvest Group – the largest food service company in the world, outside the USA.
