Title: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Post by: gouty on September 21, 2013, 11:44:25 AM I found this rather awkward viewing. I wonder if he will be invited again?
When asked about one of his runners today he responded "we will see later won't we". Not very insightful. Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. I had to give it the button after about ten minutes. (on 4+1 obv,) Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. I put this on channel 4 +1 and very quickly drifted away Pleasing Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Exactly what my breakfast companion said. He is a big old unit. That show really misses Francome and Mc Grath. I just don't see it attracting new punters either. I suppose we should be thankful it's on at all though. Good luck today all. Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Cunningham/Fitz/Pershad Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Post by: Marky147 on September 21, 2013, 01:30:30 PM Matt Chapman is prob most annoying that I can think of, not sure how he even has a job :D
Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Post by: The Camel on September 21, 2013, 09:14:23 PM Nut worst combo on racing tv Cunningham/Fitz/Pershad Cunningham is different class. One of my favourite racing tv presenters. Agree 100% about the other 2 though. Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Post by: Chompy on September 21, 2013, 09:16:42 PM Cunningham is a real thinker, puts a lot of work into it. Hard to knock imo.
Mick Fitzgerald...was a good jockey. Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Post by: The Camel on September 21, 2013, 10:08:53 PM Cunningham is a real thinker, puts a lot of work into it. Hard to knock imo. Mick Fitzgerald...was a good jockey. RUK is so annoying, real pot luck. You can get brilliant analysts like GC, Willoughby or Mellish. On the other hand Nevison, Yates or Morrison might be on. #analystroulette. Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Post by: Chompy on September 22, 2013, 12:07:05 AM Have no desire to go on TV. Ever! Would be hopeless at it, like Tom Seagull, Paul Haigh and Simon Mapletoft. Did once get Phantom Flan Flung on Tiswas though.
Title: Re: Keith Dalgliesh on the morning line. Post by: BigAdz on September 22, 2013, 12:09:11 AM Can't argue that GC doesn't talk sense, its just that he does it in 500 words when 20 will do.
As someone that spends hundreds of hours watching RUK a week, I love listening to JW, but if you were to follow his advice on there you would be financially crippled. For all his analysis he may make money himself, but following his suggestions on the box are another road to the poorhouse. Its easy to be wise after stating that X only delivers horse that do Y in Z conditions ;bigadz; Mellish. again can listen all day to but rarely nails his colours to the mast. Would rather wait for Camel/Chompy or Channing info/views any day of the week than any of these three. |
