Title: Re: Laptop Purchase Post by: kinboshi on September 21, 2013, 09:36:08 PM Wouldn't get a laptop that doesn't have an SSD. That one does, but it's only 32GB - so enough for the OS, etc., and other program files I think.
Need someone more technical than me to say if it's big enough to get the benefit of having an SSD over a HDD. Otherwise, spec looks decent. So additionally will fill that up I have a 120 gb one running my so partition with a mirror 2tb data Title: Re: Laptop Purchase Post by: ForthThistle on September 22, 2013, 11:52:37 AM What would you say is the minimum SSD size for a Laptop.
Title: Re: Laptop Purchase Post by: kinboshi on September 22, 2013, 12:15:20 PM I'd guess at 128GB, but it is a guess.
The one on mine is 255GB, and has convinced me never to buy another laptop that doesn't have a SSD. Title: Re: Laptop Purchase Post by: LeedsRhodesy on September 23, 2013, 02:03:27 AM what is it going to be used for?? internet, looking on the internet, emails and poker? its an i5 Ultrabook so it will easy do all of that! its just not got a Cd drive, i guess they missed that out so they could call it a Ultrabook and not a notebook |
