Title: AA in 2nd chance
Post by: MC on September 23, 2013, 01:17:38 AM
1st hand at a new table in the $109 Second Chance today at 6pm.

Villain is a presumed random until he min-raises us, upon which I sharkscoped him and discovered he's down $150k over 4500 games, albeit with an average ROI of only -7.5%.

I hated my life when he min raised. If he makes any other raise or whatever I mean I'm obviously getting it in and am rather pleased about it. But wtf min raises here?

It just seems unlikely this is a bluff, he can't really have QQ+, a flush draw is unlikely to min raise, and we block AJ. I guess he could have a sick combo draw with Jxdd, or QTdd. Otherwise that leaves sets, which we obviously don't like.

But when you sharkscope the guy and he's a huge loser does this make the decision for us where we have to presume he can sometimes have something ridiculous here?

call and gii on any brick turn imo

in game i might even try gii otf always amazes me what people show up with in these spots. Think folding at any point would be bad fwiw

I like TL900's line. If turn is Qd or something else outrageously unlucky then I'm getting it innnnnnnnnnn.

I definitely call the flop 100%. The turn depends on the texture of the card that rolls off, and his speed and/or sizing if he bets the turn. Proceeding with extreme caution though.

Once we've been raised this may no longer be a profitable situation for us. We are either way behind or opponent has a large amount of equity plus a lot of cards we have to fold on.

Think it comes down to your macro strategy and how important you think it is to play tough. If your not playing often you could probably make an exploitable fold.
