in my experience - if the player turns his cards over and the cards don't touch the main deck of cards, then his cards will be still live!

Of course, we could claim it, but thats no way to go through life, explotiing silly mistakes. If the boot were on the other foot & all that.

There is not a poker player alive who has not misread his hand. Some more than others, but I plead senility.......

This was the final outcome of the hand as often happens in our game due to the spirit the dc is played in, but ofc we had to wait for the ruling first to see which player got to offer the other a chop.
