Title: staking....make up
Post by: Cooperman on October 20, 2013, 02:52:48 PM
Im after views on staking...
If I put somone into a tourney for 50% of any cashes  that they may occur, should I expect buy in monies back as well as 50% .
Or should 50% be suffice as they are only a horse in a field.  Any opinions would be appreciated.

You get the buy in back, then chop the profit.

So the staked player is always gets the rough end of the stick... if he/she wins they give 50% which is fair in my opinion, but if they don't cash they give buy in back, anyway? Oh well done for the bink vin

If they don't cash the staker gets nothing back, surely?

This is correct.  It's the name of the gambling game to be fair.  However, if you was to lend someone money to play poker with - you should give back the total amount they have given you regardless of how much you may win.

No not a 1 off. Was just really getting ppls views as imo  if I was staking someone, then firstly id only stake a horse that's gonna  give me a run for my money and if they never cashed I wouldnt ask for buy in back as thats thegamble  on my behalf...

So how is the staked player always getting the rough end of the stick?
