Title: We effectively have the nutz... what now? Post by: jgcblack on October 23, 2013, 11:55:37 PM We have ~500 and cover table, open 99 and see a multiway flop (4/5).
Flop Qd 9h 7c checks to us in MP and we bet 21 into 30ish.. folds to sb who then makes it 63. This particular villain has QQ here <1% so we have the nuts.. and with no fd.. there arent many, if any, bad turn cards. Not that he is never air balling but he will have something better than KQ here a lot of the time.. problem with that is there isn't much I think I would 3b flop with here. He has about 220 behind. What do we do, and why? My thoughts: 1 - we have a very good hand, almost always ahead and should be able to get the money in a huge favourite here, a lot! However, I feel it would be criminal to 3b flop and see him rofl fold 97o knowing I probably never have worse. 2 - he is a splashy reg who is stuck and will definitely gamble to get unstuck so putting in another bet cannot be bad. Ensures we always get it in on almost any turn. 3 - he isnt bluffing much... but its non 0%. We have a good hand but can rep a much wider range if we call and any of his normal bet sizes will get the lot in by the river. Just call and call it off... or if he checks, set him in. ?? (Oh and yes, I flop sets a lot at the moment) Title: Re: We effectively have the nutz... what now? Title: Re: We effectively have the nutz... what now? Post by: pleno1 on October 24, 2013, 12:50:30 AM donk turn.
Title: Re: We effectively have the nutz... what now? Post by: NoCardDSC on October 24, 2013, 08:45:40 AM I definitely just call flop.
Then, if it is against the villain I think, and with how he perceives you, donking 90% of turn cards would be funky and get him to get ool and spew. I think donking the turn here would be best as the stacks are quite awkward, especially If he checks the turn back. Title: Re: We effectively have the nutz... what now? This definitely wouldn't actually happen though haha. Calling flop yeah Title: Re: We effectively have the nutz... what now? (leaving 150ish back) Title: Re: We effectively have the nutz... what now? Post by: AlexMartin on October 25, 2013, 07:46:00 PM call again
