Title: Sixes
Post by: The Camel on October 24, 2013, 12:13:20 AM
Now 66 (or 77 for that matter) is ALOT less complex and troublesome.

Creep into the pot as cheaply as possible and if you don't hit another 6 (or 7) on the flop you can safely fold with no further damage to your stack.

But if you do make three of a kind on the flop, bet it strongly is my advice.

You'd die if someone hit a straight or a flush to beat you out of YOUR pot.

shouldn't this be in PHA? Or learning center.

Wish someone had told me this when i first started. Sets are good prefer 77 to 66 though

7s 7h is my absolute favourite hand. Prettiest hand in the deck imo. Also,

flopping a set does NOT entitle you to win the pot :D

Great stuff! I've had another idea as well Kieth...

PERHAPS the flop might come 457 and you could consider a bet to try and win the pot right there and then (dont let his Queen Jack make a bigger pair on you!) and if he continues to stick around or has a better hand somehow you could hit an 8 or a 3 and have a run, which would almost definitely be the best hand.

But if it comes Q93 then we're gonna make like a hockey player, and smash our hockey stick angrily into our opponents face to demonstrate our disapproval at the hand not panning out as we'd hoped.

66 is better than 77 because if your opponent is on the other side of the table they might misread your hand as 99 and fold 77 or 88.

A little bit gung ho for my liking.

Maybe if I've had a few beers I'd try this.

On Party Poker when you win a hand with them you're informed youve won a hand with 'cherries' - Anyone else refer to them that way?

No, but as of this day, I'm going to announce a set of sixes as "trips of cherry".
